Al Ghubrah Plaza Hotel

The location is perfect, 18 minutes away from the airport. Plenty of shops nearby, food and groceries are easy to find, from Indian, Thai, and of course local cuisine just a few minutes of walk. The receptionists are very helpful and friendly. Please keep in mind that this is not a fancy hotel. Certainly will fulfils the basic necessities of getting a good rest. The room is spacious even for the single room, you can always ask to see the rooms first. The twin rooms are large enough for a family with kids!

The bathroom on the room that I stayed is not in a good shape! The jet sprayer was not there, and the shower was sloowww.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a family room, it’s spacious and comfortable with one separate lockable bedroom good for privacy. Amenities are very basic but sufficient, you can always ask if need anything. Great value for money! Many shops around this place, food and groceries are easy. The grand mosque still within the walking distance, shopping malls are just 1,1 OMR away with Otaxi.

Wifi is weak. And I only get 1 towel for the whole family.

I stayed here two nights, one at the beginning of my trip and one at the end. first room: had water bottles, relatively clean, had to ask for towels second room: no water, huge hole in the sheet, window wouldn’t close, air conditioner hadn’t been cleaned in ages and the wind from it smelled terrible 🤮.
