Fabulous

This is a lovely house that is very clean and comfortable. The personal touches were so kind and most appreciated. Everything is to a very high standard, and it was home from home. I had family dinner and wash great to have a well equipped kitchen. We will be back. Our nephews loved going to the pool.

An ideal family holiday base

Lots of nicely furnished space in an ideal location for a dog and children with adjacent park, play park and beach not far off. Shops in walking distance. Owner very helpful with any queries.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning area

From booking to our arrival date, communication with Jen was easy, friendly and efficient. We were a group of 7 adults and she asked our preferred arrangement for the bedrooms and 3 doubles and a single worked perfectly. The welcome gifts were the best we've ever had (thank you!) and we found the notes around the house helpful and informative with regard to how things worked. Seashell Cottage was a perfect location from which to explore the Northumberland coastline with easy routes to places like Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Bamburgh as well as being within walking distance to beaches, the harbour and many lovely eateries. Having the key box meant we could all go to different places without worrying about who would be back first! Because we were lucky with the weather and were out and about every day, we didn't actually have time to use the gym pool pass but it was good to know it was an option had we not been so lucky. We are very pleased to have found this lovely cottage and would definitely recommend :)

If we have to say something then a bigger saucepan/salad bowl would have been useful for 7 of us, but that's being very picky!

Beautiful property in a great location for exploring the coast.

The property was perfect for a family holiday. Felt very at home in this property. Lovely to return to after a day of exploring….walks, beaches, castles……. Great to walk to the nearby beaches early in the morning and in the evening

A great location close to the Harbour and beaches. The property was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The host had provided home baked scones with jam and cream along with a welcome hamper of treats which was a lovely surprise. Lots to do in Amble and the surrounding area which was very dog friendly with great places to sample the local seafood.

There was an issue for us, which may not affect others. Due to the absence of a stair gate, or a kitchen door, this meant that our 8 month old golden retriever puppy could roam around upstairs at night, which easily set off the security light outside of the 3rd floor bedroom. The glass in the bedroom door allowed the room to be floodlit every time she moved, or people used the bathroom. We used a towel which covered the top part of the door, but a full length curtain (or solid door) would help

Comfort and convenient location. The master bedroom was lovely, with a view across the links and a nice sitting area in the big bay window

Good sized rooms, no problem parking at all. Close enough to everything that we needed.

Only thing that we didn't have that was needed during our stay was some kitchen scales but that's being extremely pedantic!

Everything was great, beautiful decor/furnishings, location, cleanliness, kitchen equipment, large TV, great bedrooms, fabulous shower, courtyard seating.

Amazing location great to access the local area Lots of lovely places to eat and super walks for the dog Great having down stairs loo and the courtyard garden was a sun trap every afternoon Kitchen well equipped and we all slept well

Look very nice and I am sure it was very nice when first bought, but now very tired looking.

The cake and scones was a lovely touch, the gym pass very nice.

Both toilet seats very poor, the whole house needs a clean and feel tired, when we took off the bed linen the cover had blood stains on it and hairs, not very nice. plus we knew that the house was for dog lovers and we are not a dog lover, the house did smell of dogs and the settee was not nice, my daughters and I were itching all the time, sorry for the truthful answers.

Seashell House

The house was well equipped, super clean and covid safe. Excellent communication made sure our stay went without a hitch. Great location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline. Homemade cake and scones an unexpected bonus waiting for us on arrival. It was a pleasure to stay there.

We didn't have time to use the guest passes to the gym and swimming pool and the fact that the Covid restrictions meant we could only have our own household staying.
