Location. Clean. Had everything we needed for a short stay. Good walking on Northumberland Coastal path.

This is a lovely house that is very clean and comfortable. The personal touches were so kind and most appreciated. Everything is to a very high standard, and it was home from home. I had family dinner and wash great to have a well equipped kitchen. We will be back. Our nephews loved going to the pool.

Lots of nicely furnished space in an ideal location for a dog and children with adjacent park, play park and beach not far off. Shops in walking distance. Owner very helpful with any queries.

From booking to our arrival date, communication with Jen was easy, friendly and efficient. We were a group of 7 adults and she asked our preferred arrangement for the bedrooms and 3 doubles and a single worked perfectly. The welcome gifts were the best we've ever had (thank you!) and we found the notes around the house helpful and informative with regard to how things worked. Seashell Cottage was a perfect location from which to explore the Northumberland coastline with easy routes to places like Lindisfarne, Alnwick and Bamburgh as well as being within walking distance to beaches, the harbour and many lovely eateries. Having the key box meant we could all go to different places without worrying about who would be back first! Because we were lucky with the weather and were out and about every day, we didn't actually have time to use the gym pool pass but it was good to know it was an option had we not been so lucky. We are very pleased to have found this lovely cottage and would definitely recommend :)

If we have to say something then a bigger saucepan/salad bowl would have been useful for 7 of us, but that's being very picky!

The property was perfect for a family holiday. Felt very at home in this property. Lovely to return to after a day of exploring….walks, beaches, castles……. Great to walk to the nearby beaches early in the morning and in the evening

A great location close to the Harbour and beaches. The property was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The host had provided home baked scones with jam and cream along with a welcome hamper of treats which was a lovely surprise. Lots to do in Amble and the surrounding area which was very dog friendly with great places to sample the local seafood.

There was an issue for us, which may not affect others. Due to the absence of a stair gate, or a kitchen door, this meant that our 8 month old golden retriever puppy could roam around upstairs at night, which easily set off the security light outside of the 3rd floor bedroom. The glass in the bedroom door allowed the room to be floodlit every time she moved, or people used the bathroom. We used a towel which covered the top part of the door, but a full length curtain (or solid door) would help
