Akira Peak House Kinugawa

We stayed one night in the house. The futons were very comfortable and the house fully equipped. Slippers, towels, toothbrushes and pyjamas were given by the host. Perfect night for a low price.

Just like a little traditional Japanese house The Kotatsu was great & any easy walk from the station

The host was very nice and polite, and provided us with information about the onsens around. The apartment is spacious enough for 3 people. The kitchen has all the amenities, like a microwave, a small fridge, a grill oven, a gas stove, and some pans and dishes (some pans are scratched, but it is possible to find something to boil an egg). Parking is included in the price.

We booked at the last minute because the rainy weather ruined our camping plans. The property was cheap, and we were ready to see a dirty apartment. It was not as terrible as some comments described, but what was really annoying was the strong, nasty tobacco smell. Also, the road and rail station are close, so if you are sensitive to noise, this apartment is not a good idea. Also, at checkout, we asked the host if we could leave a car in his parking space and take a short walk around. And he asked for 300 yen. Not that it is expensive, but it is the first time I've been asked to pay in this kind of situation. I mean, the parking lot is big and empty, and we already paid 21000... So just keep in mind - the host is nice, but not that loyal to customers.
