Poderi La Rocchetta (Villa+Dependance) Unique Estate close to the Lake

Our extended family (7 adults, 4 children) spent an amazing week at this beautiful house near Lake Garda. The house itself had everything we could ever need with 6 nice bedrooms with bathrooms either ensuite or very close. The outdoor areas were truly remarkable with 2 spaces for outdoor seating, a great outdoor grill, beautiful/new large pool, soccer field, and expansive grounds. The house served as our base for exploring the towns of Lake Garda (including a great day on the lake with Taxi Boat Salo thanks to another reviewer) and Verona. Nearby the house are numerous stores (supermarkets and specialty shops) and endless vineyards with very nice/cheap wines and oil oils. Lastly Giulia was a fantastic host who was responsive to all of my (numerous) requests, including pairing us up with a cook who conducted a cooking class at the house - it was a real highlight for the kids. All in all a great trip - I highly recommend!

I just returned from a week long stay at Poderi La Rocchetta, it was absolutely wonderful! The home surpassed all of our expectations. The pictures do not do the property justice. The pool is spectacular, the olive groves are beautiful, the bocci court is great, the landscaping is meticulous and there is even a soccer field! We had ten people in our group, two different families, and the house worked great. The kitchen is stocked with every dish/pan/glass you could need, there are so many special places throughout the home and the property to enjoy an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening, and the a/c was very cold:) Having a car is ideal in this location as the road is narrow for walks in to town (but it is possible). If you have a car, you can access absolutely anything you need within 10 minutes. Within a mile or so you can access grocery stores and countless restaurants, vineyards, etc. In about 10 minutes you can be into the town of Salo which is stunning and the perfect place to enjoy great shopping, restaurants, and strolls along Lake Garda. We hired a boat through Taxi Boat Salo and had a spectacular day on the water with Marco. From this location, you can easily drive to the northern or southern end of the lake. We had visited Garda once before and we found this to be the perfect location to venture to multiple towns around the lake. The owners are so warm and welcoming and they were incredibly helpful. We'll be back!!

Our group of nine loved everything about this property. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained, and we used the pool every day. The kitchen was very modern and well appointed and everything was extremely clean and well maintained. With a organic winery and a great olive oil producer on the same road, and easy access to local markets and restaurants the location couldn’t have been better. It is also a very peaceful environment, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee of afternoon aperitivo relaxing and taking in the great views and sounds of church bells from the nearby towns.

Exquisitely restored villa. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, great pool and beautiful grounds. Quiet , private but not too far from lake Garda and it’s sights. Giulia was very responsive and helpful . I hope we can come back sometime!
