Located in the charming town of Glen Arbor, the Barn on the Bay is a new luxury home right outside of town. This wonderful open-concept home is situated in a beautiful park-like natural setting and around the corner from Lake Michigan. Three bedrooms (one is a loft) and two baths, welcome up to six guests. Will consider one dog 40 pounds or less. This property is beautifully furnished and modern, with gleaming hardwood floors.
Step into the spacious living room/kitchen/dining room area off of the deck. There are high ceilings and natural light pours in. It is a warm and welcoming space. Each window looks out on the restful natural surroundings.
There are two queen beds in the main level bedrooms and two full beds in the loft. With two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom steps out onto the spacious deck wrapped around part of the house.
The kitchen is well-appointed. If you love to cook, this kitchen does the trick. It is a Chef's kitchen with lots of counter space, a gas stove, and plenty of utensils. The living room features an electric fireplace to add ambiance, and a Smart TV with streaming only (no cable). WIFI provided.
The views from this space are lovely with cattails, cedars, and wildflowers peeking through. The nature lover will find the grounds enchanting with woodland animals and birds coming to visit. Outdoors, whether on the deck or sitting around the fire pit, relaxation and enjoyment await. A gas grill is provided as well as outdoor dining chairs and a picnic area. There is even an outdoor shower!
Lake Michigan is just 0.3 miles away and an easy walk down a quiet dirt road. The Crystal River is across the main road (M-22) and also has a dock.
Glen Arbor shops and dining are only minutes down the road, you can walk if you'd like! The Sleeping Bear Dune Climb is a 4.5 mile drive. The Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail connects nearby for biking and walking.

Beautiful house and decor. Very well stocked. Excellent location, close to the beach, Crystal river and Glen Arbor. Highly recommend! Owner was great to work with.

Beautifully designed and clean space located within walking distance to a peaceful and lively beach. We had a great visit at the Barn and would absolutely stay here again. A couple of things to be aware of - 1) there are three septic system from various properties that drain to the back of the house. We had the unfortunate experience of the truck coming to drain those three receptacles while we we getting ready to head out for the day - very smelly and gross. 2) The intersection on Bay 22 had a bridge reconstruction going on during our visit so we could hear the generators running all night and it definitely took a bit of the charm out of our visit with construction guys milling around at the end of the driveway and a ton of equipment and cones, etc. I don’t know how long this will carry on but you may want to ask before booking.One last thing - if you use the kayaks on the lake you need to have a pfd in the kayak with you. I was pulled over by the water-sheriff and ticketed for no pfd. 115. :/We had a perfect amount of space - our teens took the loft - and the kitchen was perfection for family dinners. They did have spices and basics, so that was great, and there is a BRITA for filtered water. The outdoor shower is fantastic and the beds were cozy. The walk to the beach is perfect and the sunsets are unmatchable. Loved it.
