Wonderful apartment with views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal.

Views are breathtaking. Lovely place. Quiet. Nice sleep.

This place is a wow. We arrived after dark and all the uncovered windows concerned us a bit but in the morning we realized there was no one to look in and looking out... Amazing! The apartment has a front row view of the lake and volcano, exactly as shown in the pictures. The place did have its quirks, as others have mentioned, but I would stay again. What quirks? Well... Having no closet or hanging rod or hooks ANYWHERE creates a bit of a problem trying to figure out where to put your stuff. We ended up using the kitchen table, chairs and countertop for open suitcases and bathroom belongings with extra bags tossed in a corner (that would be a great place for luggage racks and hooks! Hint hint). Other than the coffee pot we didn't really plan to cook anyway so it wasn't a big deal for us. The apartment is roomy as is the bathroom. No AC but we didn't need it in December. The adventure park up the hill is a nice place to wander for food during the day but other than that driving is a must. We loved the seclusion and driving the curvy country roads. Nothing is terribly far. The rain...well, it is a rain forest... Oh! Sergio is everything others have said. Very knowledgeable and willing to advise to make you trip everything you want it to be!

The location is gorgeous, but I never saw the volcano because we had 4 days of clouds and rain. The worst part was walking up from the parking lot. We had to walk through the grass which ended up being mud. Installing pavers would help a lot. I expected a full kitchen but there was no stove only an electric frying pan and a hot plate. The kitchen accessories were minimal. We had no water from 6pm until we checked out the next day, so no shower, toilet flushing or drinking water. They were trying to get it fixed when we left. So the host was dealing with the problem. The place was clean and Sergio was easy to communicate with and helpful.
