Overall our stay was very enjoyable, and I would consider this house for a second stay, but there were a number of glaring issues that should be addressed. For starters, the house is advertised on VRBO as having eight beds as well as a charcoal grill. There were seven beds (one queen and six doubles) and there was no charcoal grill anywhere to be found. On top of that, the house had scarcely been cleaned at all. The dining table was filthy, neither the kitchen countertops nor the sink had been cleaned, the shower curtains were covered in mold and stains, and several of the bedspreads had large stains on them. In addition the floors had not been swept and were covered with dust and sand.
Considering the lack of cleanliness of the house upon our arrival, we immediately sought to clean the house ourselves, only to find that the house is lacking several significant amenities. There was no vacuum cleaner, and neither a clothing iron or ironing board (not to mention the missing grill that was promised in the VRBO listing). The kitchen could also use some additional appliances and utensils. Other than standard utensils and glassware, there was no blender or other more specialized equipment. Many of the utensils were in poor condition, such as the can openers, which were completely worn out.
In the end, we enjoyed our stay very much, but our initial impression was very underwhelming.
