Wrap up the evening with a puzzle, or, even better, a board game, with more than fifty from which to choose. And just try to resist the retro Ms. Pac-Man arcade game. ACCESS DETAILS:
Lake access is less than a 10-minute walk down Piney Point Dr or a short drive to the parking lot. While this home does not come with dock access, dock slips are available to rent on a first come first serve basis through the Sky Valley Community Association for an additional fee of $25/day. Please note that this association only rents slips to those who privately own their boats. Rental boats are not allowed. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

DOG BREED LIMITATIONS: Even in dog-friendly homes, it’s prohibited to bring any dog with a history or instance of aggressive or reactive tendencies. We welcome any dog which you know to be well-socialized, trained, and friendly in any situation involving others, both human and canine, as there may be nearby dogs at neighboring properties. However, due to restrictions in place by homeowner insurance policies, breeds listed as most aggressive are banned from all rentals, regardless of the training and temperament of the individual dog. For a list of restricted breeds and our full policy regarding dogs, please contact us directly.
AFTER BOOKING: An email will be sent to the address provided during check-out; please check for action items needed to secure your reservation. The subject of this email will start with "URGENT: Complete Your Booking For"... and may be in your Promotional/Marketing folders depending on your email provider and settings.
TOILETRIES & PAPER PRODUCTS: Bed linens and bath towels provided w/rental. No soaps, toiletries, paper products, trash bags, etc. will be provided with the exception of a welcome bag including a few starter items. Please pack accordingly.
NOTE: A copy of the contract holder's Photo ID, a signed contract, and a list of your full travel party (names/ages of all attending) will be required to complete your booking. If booking last minute, you may be required to stop by our main office to show your photo ID and the credit card used on the reservation. This policy is in place to help combat fraudulent activity that is more likely to occur in last-minute arrivals.

We enjoyed our week at the Hideaway cabin. It had all you needed to enjoy a week away in the winter - games, fireplace, hot tub, and more!

What a fantastic cabin! The location was just what we wanted - in the woods, away from the bustle of town. It matched all the descriptions - hot tub, gas fire pit, every movie, board game and electronic game you can imagine. The old arcades were the hit for everyone! And the record player was sprinkles on top. The water pressure is extremely low - especially in the bathroom sink, but the shower still managed to wash us off. The gas grill was a great perk - and all the appliances worked just fine for us - and we used them all (but the washer and dryer). There are still more activities to do in the area - so when we go back, we hope The Hidewaway is available! We would recommend this place to ANYONE!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Super close to the swimming docks and access to the lake. Cozy home made even better by the many games/amenities! We will definitely be staying here again!

Overall experience of Deep Creek area was amazing. The property was listed fairly accurately. The issue I had was trying to communicate via email with property management was nearly impossible. They were fairly easy to reach over the phone but I wanted email documentation of the issue we were having. We realized on our last morning there that the reason we were having issue with coughing and congestion, that made for a couple rough nights of sleep, was due to organic growth in the bedroom. When I finally managed to bring this to someone’s attention, the response was I’m sorry, we will look into this, guest services will be reaching out to you. Compensation was an email with $100 voucher for my next booking with them. Not very satisfied with that response concerning someone who is highly allergic could have been potentially hospitalized after one night in this property. Not asking for much but I feel they should have done more.
