Old Stone House GP

The location is fantastic, panoramic views of the sea, islands, mountains and Split. Great outdoor area to relax in and absorb the peace & quiet. It looks equally as good at night with the city lit up in the distance. The house is modern & clean but feels entirely authentic with the stone walls and window shutters. There is a really good traditional restaurant less than a minutes walk away as well.

Maybe a little more storage in the kitchen would have been good but overall I can’t fault the property.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely villa. The view was absolutely stunning, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a great stay. Nina and Petar were fantastic hosts—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway!

After spending whole two weeks in Gornja Podstrana in Nina’s and Peter’s house, we can surely recommend it. From the first meeting with the owners, you can feel that you are being taken care of. Owners provided us with all the things that we have mentioned during conversations before our arrival. What is more, we were welcomed with a cold drink, which was perfect after our long journey. The house itself is a perfect place for rest. Big pool, breathtaking views and a comfy house is a perfect choice for your family holiday. When it comes to the house, every room is air conditioned, which is a massive pro of this location. It is also very well-equipped and what is really worth highlighting - it is very clean. The thing that really elated our family were the bedrooms that were fully dark. After closing the window shutter, the room was cold and comfy to get a great night sleep. The modern furniture combined with classic stone walls create an incredible atmosphere. However the biggest advantage of the house, without a doubt is the outdoor kitchen. Fully equipped with both gas and charcoal grill make this “room” a place where you spend the whole time during summer. To sum it up, Nina and Peter are incredible owners who created a perfect summer destination for both families and friend groups. We are really eager to come back next year, and we hope it will happen 😊

The location was removed enough from the city and town that you felt like you had some privacy. The views are phenomenal. The outdoor kitchen area is perfect since you'll likely want to spend most of your time outside. The hosts are super friendly and helpful; the grill ran out of gas during our stay and they came by to replace it within the hour. There is a fantastic restaurant just a 5 minute walk down the hill, but be aware you have to make a reservation in advance, day-of will not work.

This is not a true negative, but I would recommend renting a car. You could definitely walk down into town, but it would be a big hike as the property is situated up on the mountainside.
