The famous “Golden Triangle”! A prime and chic location! Extremely quiet, free parking, within 2 minutes of everything—simply the city’s most sought-after neighborhood…
Everything is nearby! Right in the heart of the city (Napoleon House, Old Town, Old Port), beaches, walking trails (Sentier des Crêtes), historic sites (Place de Gaulle, Place du Casone, Napoleon’s Cave, Place Miot), and the famous Route des Sanguinaires with its legendary sunsets for romantics.
Walking along the waterfront promenade, you’ll reach the citadel. In addition to the casino, the cathedral, and Tino Rossi Harbor, you’ll find the covered market on Place Campinchi, open daily (except Mondays during the off-season), featuring clothing on Saturdays, two bookstores, and countless fashion boutiques in the surrounding area—a must for those who appreciate Ajaccio’s signature elegance. Rue Fesch, a pedestrian street leading off the square, is a “must-see” in this regard.
The famous beaches and coves of Les Sanguinaires stretch from the end of the waterfront to the right, all the way to the renowned islets 8 kilometers away along a delightful road (served by buses and pleasant on foot for walkers and the new bike path). There you’ll find beaches with varying levels of amenities, ranging from deserted sandbars (best discovered on foot) to the fully developed (Neptune). In addition to beach huts right on the water’s edge, you’ll find water sports (jet skis, tube rides, boats, parasailing, surfing at Capo du Feno Beach, and scuba diving at Trottel Beach)
A hiking trail along the ridges—one easy, one more challenging—is right next to the house, allowing you to walk along the coast through the maquis: don’t miss it—the view is spectacular!
Transportation:
Everything is nearby! Right in the heart of the city (Maison Napoléon, the cathedral, the Old Town), beaches, walking trails (Sentier des Crêtes), and historic sites (Place de Gaulle, Place du Casone—including Napoleon’s Cave and Place Miot)
To get to the accommodation from the airport:
From the airport, a shuttle takes you to the bus station, or you can take a taxi to the house (35 euros)
From the bus stop, take Cours Napoléon and board bus 7, which will take you to Cours Général Leclerc (Cours Grandval), get off at the Grandval stop, turn right onto Rue Rossi after the restaurant La Trattoria, then walk up Rue Docteur Pompeani; after the hairpin turn on the left, you’ll see the small two-story pink building with flower boxes in front—you’ve arrived
