Welcome to our cottage on Highland Lake, a 445-acre lake located in Winsted (Winchester), nestled in the rolling hills of Northwestern Connecticut.
This 2-bedroom, year-round cottage features living room, two bedrooms- each with flat screen TV, bathroom, washer/dryer, and a country eat-in kitchen. Lakefront home with dock. Home has central A/C and heat for your climate control preference!
Enjoy your morning coffee while watching the boats and wildlife from the screened-in porch!
For outdoor entertaining, there is a Weber gas grill, beverage cooler, picnic table, lounge chairs, firepit, corn hole, badminton and walkout basement with summer kitchen, basement bath, and washer/dryer. New patio and driveway in 2024.
We allow early check-in at 11 a.m.

There are two single-user kayaks available for guests.

Situated on a beautiful lake facing the sunset. Screened in porch made it easy to enjoy the view of the lake. The place was clean and cozy.

Very clean and detailed. Cozy cottage on the lake. One of the nicer places to stay on the lake. Host communicates very well. Enjoyable experience. We would stay here again!

Me and a buddy of mine spent a few nights here. It was exactly what we were looking for. We grilled out each night and had some drinks around the fire. The house had everything we needed to feel relaxed and get refreshed. It was close enough to outdoor hiking, YMCA, and ATV riding. I highly recommend this location for a weekend/week getaway.
