Luxury 5BR Hanalei Bay, Lumahai, Bali Hai Pool View Estate

This is a five star property in every respect. The kitchen, the pool, the bedrooms and bathrooms are all well appointed and lovely. But the serenity and beauty of the property and the views from the decks and every room are what sets this home apart from any other...truly breathtaking and beyond description or capturing in a photograph. We highly recommend this VRBO and had the best time with our 6 adult children and 10 month old grandbaby. While in Kauai, we tubed, scuba dived, snorkeled, hiked the first two miles of the Kalalau trail, used the boogie boards and beach chairs from the house at Hanalei bay, did the Jurassic Falls helicopter ride with Island Helicopters, ate at Tahiti Nui, Ama, and Wishing Well, and spent alot of time playing pool, swimming and hot tubbing at the house. We also had chef Janice Mckeachern prepare the most amazing dinner at the house for us on our last night in town. It was a dream vacation for us in every way and we hope to come back to Kauai and stay at Nani Lani again.

Loved the property (as far as value for money - just four stars because it is very expensive. But we loved it.Only complaint/suggestion - clocks - please. As someone who does not carry their phone around all day, I would have to run to the microwave to see the time. Clocks in the main living room and bedrooms would be nice.

Property is incredible! Views every day of waterfalls, mountains and beach. Kitchen has everything you need including two dish washers. Toiletries (shampoo, toilet paper etc) are top notch. Pool and hot tub were our gathering spot after a day of activities. Usually rentals have one or two beds that are older and not as comfortable, but all beds, pillows and linens were equally well appointed and extremely comfortable. Perfect vacation spot!

The location, view, home layout, and pool are excellent. The cleanliness and condition of the house was not very good at all. A shower in one room quit working completely about two days in. One of the washing machines didn’t work either and one of the dryers display didn’t display anything but it would turn on. Wild guess on what setting it was on. A couple of the toilet paper holders barely mounted to the wall because the anchors have been pulled out. I’m no stranger to the islands and bugs are part of life but they were everywhere inside the house. Ants in one of the beds and roaches in most areas. I talked with the owner about the issues and she was very nice but nothing was done while we were there. I’d fire the cleaning company and get a new property manager. Didn’t let it ruin our trip but at this price point this is not acceptable. I’ve stayed at way lesser priced hotels/homes that had much more pride of ownership.
