About this apartment rental
The penthouse apartment measures approximately 60 square meters, plus a rooftop terrace of approximately 35 square meters (top floor, open-air).
Since you spend most of your time on the rooftop terrace (sunbathing, eating, reading, drinking wine in the evening, for example), it cannot be compared to a simple balcony. Incidentally, it offers a 200° panoramic view stretching from Mount Teide across a coastal mountain range, continuing along the northwestern coastline—including the towns of Garachico and Buenavista—all the way to the expansive ocean horizon.
The apartment features a living room with an adjoining open kitchen (new in 2024) and is furnished with a two-seater sofa, a rocking chair, a TV, and double sliding doors leading to the terrace,
Furthermore, the apartment features a bedroom with a 1.60 m double bed and another exit to the terrace, an interior bathroom (new in 2022) with a comfortable shower, an utility area with a washing machine and other amenities, and a balcony room (similar to a sunroom) accessible only via the terrace.
The rooftop terrace has an awning measuring 4.00 x 2.70 m.
The small, sheltered black-sand beach at San Marcos is one of the few on Tenerife that doesn’t have strong currents, as it is protected by a natural bay and a pier. If you’re looking to chat with locals, this is the perfect spot to soak up the sun.
San Marcos is originally a fishing village—a small Spanish town that’s not overcrowded and is close to Icod de los Vinos.
Our very well-maintained apartment building, “Bahia Sol,” is located on a hillside, about a 5-minute walk down to the bay. Our apartment is on the top, eighth floor. It can also be reached via a mountain-side entrance on the sixth floor. From both entrances, you’ll need to climb a few steps to reach the apartment. There are several parking spots for rental cars in front of the mountain-side entrance. There’s also a bus stop for the bus to the central bus station (ZOB) in Icod.

Die Lage des Objekts ist außergewöhnlich, direkt an den Klippen, unmittelbarer Atlantik.
Aber, unmittelbar neben dem Objekt steht ein 4-stöckiges Haus, das die Morgensonne auf der Terrasse bis 11:30 nimmt. Häufig bilden sich dann um den Teide Passatwolken, die weiter das Sonnenlicht in San Marcos nehmen. Unterhalb des Objekts ist ein Sportclub mit 2 Tennisplätzen, 2 Squash-, einem Fussballplatz und Schwimmbad angesiedelt. Der Sportbetrieb findet von 9:00 bis ca. 22:30 statt. Wir hätten uns das Appartement etwas sauberer gewünscht. Warmwasserventil am Waschbecken war defekt. Auch würde sich insgesamt ein Update empfehlen. Ein Mietwagen ist unbedingt erforderlich. Wir hatten einen 8-wöchigen Aufenthalt im November / Dezember 2021.
