Why not experience a unique and private stay with epic views of downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills in the neighborhood of Beachwood Canyon! Beachwood Canyon is a community in the Hollywood Hills, in the northern portion of Hollywood.. The upper portion of the canyon is the Hollywoodland community that was advertised in the 1920s by the original of what is now known as the Hollywood Sign. The neighborhood features its own Beachwood Cafe and Market, florist and stables. Book a stay now at our Buddha's Secret Stairs! ** For larger groups we also have a sister unit that sleeps 3-4 w kitchenette called the "Secret Stairs Studio"



Our large 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment w outdoor private patio fully stocked kitchen, and scenic living area boasting epic views of downtown LA tucked in the Hollywood Hills of Beachwood Canyon and steps from the iconic Saroyan Stairs. Plus more stair workouts such as the Belden/Woodshire stairs. This is a celebrity neighborhood so you'll never know who you'll see walking their dog. Another great workout is a 30 min hike to the iconic Hollywood Sign and Lake Hollywood Park. Other nearby sites are Hollywood Walk of Fame, Runyan Canyon, Universal Studios and Griffith Park 15 min drive away.

** Owner lives in the top part of house with their miniature toy poodle and Frenchie. This second level home has been created for you to enjoy w epic views in your private primary bedroom w ensuite full bathroom and your own private patio/balcony. Private kitchen and living spaces is lower level below the main house. We are fully transparent that there are shared walls and you are renting a private second level unit attached to the house above and may hear occasional noises above you and their dog barking when you first arrive.

Residential Street Parking Only (min 1 car). No RV's, trailers or hitches. Hollywood Hills streets are well-known to be very narrow and windy.

HOUSE RULES:



It is our mission to ensure that our valued guests enjoy their stay with us! This is a permitted vacation rental with the City of LA. We also have an equally as important commitment to our neighbors and our community. Below are the house rules that we must enforce. Please read them as well as all your guests prior to confirming your reservation.



* Minimum age policy is 25 years old. Valid photo ID will be required, as well as names and ages of all your Guests. (exceptions will be considered with a refundable $1000 security deposit that will be completed via email with your credit card authorization after your booking)



* Check-in is after 4 pm | Check out is at 11 am



MAX NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS ( 2 people) Extra Guest Fee $75/per guest per night

The Property is to be occupied by no more than the maximum sleep number stated on reservation unless approved in writing by Management. If Guest exceeds the occupancy limit and falsifies occupancy information at the time of reservation, Guest shall be subject to eviction. "Occupants" includes small children, infants and any and all visitors. If more than the maximum number is found to be occupying the Property at any time, you agree that a charge of $100 per person/per day will be made to your credit card. Additionally, this Agreement may be immediately terminated without a refund of any amounts paid. No Exceptions.



NO PARTIES OR EVENTS - due to the City of LA's strict ban of parties of large groups we need exact headcounts of your guests at all times. Outside visitors not permitted.



A party is defined as any combination of the following; ANY loud noise and/or excessive drinking that is disruptive to neighboring houses and/or guests outnumbering the maximum amount permitted as defined above. A party will result in an immediate eviction from the property with no refund given under any circumstance. Any exceptions to this policy must be approved by iTrip Vacations Hollywood in writing prior to the arrival date.



NEIGHBOR COMPLAINTS

Actions by guests that result in neighbor complaints or police being called to the Property will result in a minimum $250 charge, which charge will be used to deal with legal issues and fines.



NOISE ORDINANCE: 10 pm – 7 am.



Please be mindful of our neighbors during your stay. The property's quiet hours are in place to ensure that you and our whole community can enjoy a restful night's sleep. We are dedicated to protecting our guests and neighbors from bothersome levels of noise.



NO SMOKING (Outdoors Only) $500 fine if any traces of smoke, ashes, etc found inside the home.

The property was amazing and very clean! It is in a great location to see many of the sights near and around LA. It is well stocked with the essentials and the views are amazing. We did the secret stairs a few times and enjoyed that as well. Overall amazing stay at a great location. The only negative is there is no individual control for the AC and the owner controls it from their side of the house. It was very hot while we were there and the AC was barely on while we were inside. It did cool off at night, but if you like it cool, you probably don’t want to stay here if it is hot.

This little place in the Hills was absolutely unreal! We found the apartment to be open and bright! The views of downtown LA were spectacular as the sun went down. Very clean, and just had a great vibe! We’ll be booking again on our next trip to LA!!!

First, the view of downtown is "as advertised" and beautiful!! The space matches the pictures online and everything seemed to work. Everything you may want to explore is within 20-30 minutes, and the drive up Gower gives you a picture perfect view of the Hollywood sign. The location is amazing, but I would not stay in "Secret Stairs 2" again for the following reasons. I believe there are 2 units for rent on the property and both are attached to a "main" house. From what I could determine, Apt 2 (the one I rented) has the view, and Apt 1 has privacy. Our unit shared an entire wall with the owners separated by a closet-like door. The owner(s) was respectful of the time regarding noise - quiet from about 9pm - 9am except for occasional dog noise. However, we could hear conversations through the wall as if the people were in the same room, and we could also smell pot in the unit during the day and at night. Also, check to see that coffee is in the tin when you arrive, because our tin was empty. To be fair, I did not report this to the management company because there was nothing to be done. More coffee would not have mattered because the time to use it had passed; reporting the noise was not fixable; and the pot smell - well it is legal in California, so...The rental description needs to specify that unit 2 is attached to the owners house, especially for the price charged.

Site was overall very nice and clean. As a house in the Hollywood hills it has gorgeous views of the city. The listing says it’s air conditioned but the controls are in the main house so you have no access. I messaged the host but this property is managed through ITrip, so it felt like I was playing telephone to get ac on and it wasn’t much colder once my request was sent. Made it difficult to sleep.
