Welcome to Little Blacks Guesthouse.. Complete with kitchenette (no oven or cooktop), queen size bed and a bespoke bathroom..
Come and relax after a hard day on the Otago Central Rail Trail (just 2km away) or just step away from the hussell and bussell of ever day life..
With a stunning rural outlook... Three alpaca for company (James, Marshall and Barney). A miniature pony and sometimes 3 horses in the next paddock. Stunning Sunsets and beautiful star filled skies......
With three amazing restaurants within walking / biking distance.
Famous Pitches Store, an award winning cafe / restaurant, Blacks Hotel famous for their collection of whiskey and gin. Bookings for dinner are essential especially in the peak season.
Ophir has a wonderful old school pool just a 3 minute stroll down the road, that is run by the Ophir Community in the Summer months.. At $5 per person, this is an absolute must..!!
Our Guesthouse is super warm in the winter as well so try your luck at experiencing a hoar frost... (when mother nature allows)..

This was our second stay at Little Blacks and it was presented beautifully, as it was last year.
Little Blacks is super cozy and well cared for. It is situated in a beautiful location that is quiet, handy to local shops and walking distance to some lovely pub food / drinks. Added bonus of a lovely range of continental breakfast items were also provided.
Hopefully we are able to stay again on our next visit too.

I stayed just the one night but was impressed with the little guest house - it was larger than I was expecting and it was beautifully presented. The bed was very comfy and the continental breakfast was a lovely find, especially as I had a 3 hour journey that day. Lovely quiet area and handy to Blacks Hotel for a delicious meal. Will definately recommend your guest house to others and hope to be back again sometime.

A great place to stay with breakfast provided and good facilities. An ideal place to stay if you are driving between Queenstown and Dunedin as we did plus you get the history of Ophir
