Wonderful lakefront property on quiet Bald Mountain Lake inside the gate in Rumbling Bald. Enjoy the beauty of this private lake from the large wrap-around covered deck, the lower patio, and your private dock! The Main level features huge glass windows to enjoy lake views throughout your stay, plus 2 bedrooms/2 baths, kitchen, dining and living room. A perfect home for relaxing and taking in the scenery! There is a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, and plenty of seating for the entire family. The upper deck features a gas grill and two sets of patio tables and chairs, couch and rocking chairs. The basement level features a family room, built-in bar, rec/bonus room, pool table, foosball table, a third bedroom with two bunks and a twin bed, a third full bath and laundry/utility room. The large Flat screen TV in the basement also includes a DVR. From the lower level, you can access your private dock and enjoy swimming, fishing, or just relaxing. And don’t forget the two kayaks, paddle boat and Pelican Fishing Boat with trolling motor as well as fishing gear for guests to use and enjoy. All of this and the many amenities you’ll find at Rumbling Bald including golf, restaurants, hiking trails, a wellness center, 3 pools, and the beach with boat and watercraft rentals. Parking is available for up to three mid-size vehicles in the paved parking area. Guests must descend a flight of 40 stairs from the parking area to reach the front door of the house.
CANCELLATIONS/TRANSFERS. Requests must be in writing and received by a Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure rental agent. In the event Tenant must cancel this reservation more than 45 day prior to arrival, Tenant shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of $50.00. Cancellations that occur within 45 to 15 days prior to arrival will be charged a cancellation fee of 25% of the total reservation charges. Cancellations which occur within 14 days of arrival will be subject to a cancellation charge equal to the amount of the reservation. NO refunds will be given for early departures or unused portions of packages.
HOUSEKEEPING SUPPLIES: There is a one-two day starter supply of items such as coffee packets, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent (where appropriate), shampoo, and soap that has been supplied for your vacation rental. All towels, sheets, and linens are provided for the allowed occupancy number of each unit. There is no housekeeping service provided during your stay. If you run out of any starter supplies, you many purchase these at Apple Valley Market or Ingles Grocery.

I stuck with the 4/5 this property had when I rented it. It seems about right as the property needs some cleaning and a little TLC; however, you cannot beat the location! A private lake with access to a state park at one end of your road and full access to the private beach at the public lake within the resort, as well as access to resort amenities. We were a little worried about the dock while we were there, seems to be leaning to one side and the property definitely only gets a quick clean as we found candy, a used popsicle stick and moldy dish rags during our stay. My sons bed also had a funky smell to it, made the room stink. The home does have everything you could ask for when staying out of town. Golf clubs, kayaks, pool table, rafts, cooking supplies etc. I stuck with 4/5 because for the location, I would stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful property with us! Going out on the dock and kayaking were highlights both for our entire family and our dog :-) The deck was perfect for morning yoga. The location was perfect for quick trips for zip lining or to go out for dinner. We will definitely return.

When we got in after hours, we were greeted with a pile of poop in one of the bedrooms downstairs. It looked as if it had been there for a while since it had started to grow fur. The cob webs along the ceilings and dog fur on the floor was more proof this unit had not been cleaned before we arrived. The home is in a nice location with great views of the lake. Loved having the pier and use of the boat and kayaks. One problem though, the listing said use of a trolling motor and I called to verify this a few days before we left. When we got there we were told we could not use the trolling motor. Which was unfortunate as I could have brought mine with. Beds and floors are very squeaky - everyone slept ok.
