Goosewing Lakeside Lodge

Great three days. We are grandparents with our three grand children. We really enjoyed the pool area it was great fun and very clean. Staff excellent. Great lodge very comfortable .

Football pitch could have had goal posts. Our lads were disappointed.

Good location and well equipped. Great pools, soft play and playground on site for children.

The single beds are very narrow.

Beautiful clean and comfy cabin

The staff weren’t friendly or helpful at any stage. They were unwilling to help when we had any special requests/questions. Checkin time is 3pm (not a minute before) and checkout is 10am super strict. We were travelling with a baby and we said we arrived and please let us know when the room will be ready. The response was super rude: ‘as I mentioned before checkin is 3pm’. Most places allow you check in if the room is available. Confirm the date of the swimming session booking in advance as they mixed up our swimming session dates and blamed us for filling out the form wrongly. That nearly ruined a birthday as we had to change our plans. They should have confirmed what date the facility was booked for. They emailed specifically asking for a 5 star review on Booking.com or a direct message if you had any negative feedback. They charge an additional £40 for ‘Hoburne pass’ and £200 for deposit. Not enough toilet rolls washing up products etc, we needed to do a big shopping for a 3 days stay. You need to clean up / undo bedsheets etc before leaving which defeats the purpose of being on holidays. I personally wouldn’t come back again for these reasons.
