Irene's loft

The locations is great in a super nice village. The hostess was kind and did her best to be helpful despite very difficult circumstances that were out of her control. The kitchen is nice with everything you could need.

The apartment is full of the hostess's personal possessions to the point where you feel a bit like an intruder. Medicine cabinet is full, etc.. For us, it seemed awkward. We weren't sure if we should open drawers and try to unpack. We had planned to stay several nights and ended up just opening our suitcases on the sofa. The bed is not at all comfortable and the A/C is not very effective even when it is working - it was very hot during our stay. Bathroom is cramped and the shower is difficult to use. Regrettably, we ended up cutting our stay short. Early in our first night's stay, the power was cut off leaving us in the dark, sweating, no way to charge our phones, our food getting warm in the fridge, etc... This was NOT the owner's fault, but it wasn't handled well by anyone. Irene's son seems to be the one who handles problems and he was out of reach. We contacted Booking.com and they did a HORRIBLE job of communicating. Booking promised a response in an hour but then simply ignored us. We waited until the end of the following day hoping that the power would be restored. Then we gave up and looked for other accommodations. Booking.com was no help at all in the process. Many days later we received a full refund but the process was long and arduous. At one point, the owner accused of us fraud despite the fact that he was the one who offered a refund and we had followed his instructions precisely. Thankfully, we did all of our communications via Booking's message feature so that everything was documented.

Liebevolle Einrichtung. Es war Brot, Wurst, Käse, Obst, Wasser und etwas Süßes für uns gerichtet. Athanasia ist sehr hilfsbereit und herzlich. Sie hat sich sehr um uns und unsere Wünsche bemüht. Die Atmosphäre im Ort ist außergewöhnlich, die Menschen nett und freundlich.

In der Wohnung die Toilette und das Bad. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Parkplatzsituation ist etwas schwierig, da man doch steile und weite Wege gehen muss. Ist bei der An- und Abreise etwas beschwerlich.

Quiet location not far from the road, friendly and always reachable owner, shop in the vicinity, not like staying in some resort/vacation factory, not long driving distance to sandy beach with clear water (Agios Gordios, Santa Barbara etc.) - It was visible on the map before It was booked so no surprise with distance to the beach.
