The Cow House - In the heart of Whitby

The property itself is a lovely old building with its quirks but that’s it for me.

It’s a really nice and quirky property but you feel confined to the bedroom as there is no where to lounge around, other than on the bed upstairs / you could sit down stairs but that’s only good for eating or maybe having a drink while playing cards etc... no views to speak of as the window shutters block out the neighbour who are only a matter of feet away from you… it’s very warm on sunny days inside .. for the building it’s self it’s nice but for me the cons just stacked up against it… weirdly the key is located behind the barrier at the side of the property which you don’t see. Toilet is loud when flushed waking everyone up .. the ally way outside is noisy from 4am onwards, parking is hard to get close by & the top floor is a pointless waste of space in my opinion. I sound as though I’m hating on this property which I’m not, it does have charm but unfortunately that’s about it really. If you’re planning on being out all day and just sleep and eating here and all you want is character then yes this maybe for you.

Absolutely stunning property, spotlessly clean and the attention to detail was wonderful. We had a fabulous stay and will be returning again!

Very clean and beautifully presented, in the old town, no parking next to the cottage but not far away
