Great accomodation in the city center, very clean and cosy, with helpful and friendly staff. I liked that we didn't need the staff to check in, having key codes to enter the building and the room. Great place for rest and to have a break if you are coming from a long trip by car. I highly recommend this place.

Nice building with good location. The host was nice and polite during communication.

We have arrived shortly after midnight and the room was freezing cold. Although I have turned on the heating to max, the room still didn’t heat up during the night. The comforter was very thin and same was the pillow. I have mentioned the same to the lady that was cleaning when I did the check out. I didn’t take any photo, but the bedsheet on the big bed had a yellow stain. I just covered it with a towel and slept like that. Remember that I did the check in after midnight and it was a self check in, even if I wanted another room there was no chance to change. The host was nice and polite during communication. But the room being so cold after an 11 hours drive, has really made it a terrible experience.

Very quiet location. Enjoyed the large and clean room which also included a massage chair! Enjoyed the free coffee and tea in the common area at the end of the hallway. Includes private parking for 3-4 cars ( a little tight ). Restaurants and points of interest are within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

In the past, when we stayed at English House, in a superior double room, we considered the accommodation decent, as we generally prefer small places (similar to boutique hotels) and not large hotels.

We booked the apartment this time and unfortunately we had a really unpleasant experience. We knew that the apartment is located on the last floor and this is why we wrote to the property in advance, asking them to turn on the air conditioning. Unfortunately, they did not do this (even if they confirmed in their response that they will do it) and when we arrived there were 35.5 Celsius degrees in the apartment. We turned on the two AC devices - one in the living room and one in one of the bedrooms - but they were not working properly. The AC in the living room also had a defect, as it made some noises both turned on and turned off (for somebody having problems with the noise at night it was terrible). As the AC devices did not function well, the temperature in the apartment remained really high until morning. Also, even if the beds are comfortable, the pillows were very bed. The conclusion from this experience is that we were much more tired in the morning, after a night in the apartment from English House, then when we arrived there after 10 hours driving. Another problem to report is that if you arrive on Friday or during the week-end, except for receiving the access codes, there is no reaction from the property stuff (I wrote on Friday late evening, seeing that there is a problem with the temperature / ACs not working, however, I received a reply only next Monday, after noon.
