Luxurious, quiet, peaceful and welcoming

We lived like lords in the spacious and beautiful wing of an old manor house.

Extremely spacious, well-equipped and beautifully presented property. Everything about the property reflected care and quality. We particularly enjoyed the private riverside garden with a useful outside dining table and firepit-cum-barbecue. Pippa was an excellent hostess, providing clear and prompt information, meeting us on arrival and responding to questions during our stay.

The kitchen, while very well-equipped, has limited worktop space and no kitichen table at which to eat - although there is a table and chairs in the enormous lounge-dining room. The property is just off the A303 so inevitably there is a little noise from traffic. But the accommodation is some distance from the road, (at the end of a long drive) and at the south end of the property; it did not detract from our enjoyment of the garden.
