It was beautiful- all the modern facilities but you felt like you had gone back in time.

It was all perfect!

felt like a princess staying here it was absolutely gorgeous. It was my mam’s 50th birthday and we received a free dessert with a candle without prompting or ordering which was a wonderful surprise. The bedroom was lovely, the mattresses were firm which may not suit everyone’s tastes. the rooftop pool was closed the day we arrived - i was not warned prior or compensated for this - at a spa hotel i’d expect notice about services being unavailable. every staff experience we had was absolutely excellent, unfortunately though, at the end of my stay i had quite a negative encounter which was rather disconcerting. i had left the hotel without my kindle and a few hours later i realized this, luckily we hadn’t left pisa yet so i rang the hotel number to seek assistance. as i don’t live in pisa nor am i local to it i needed to retrieve the kindle that evening. i spoke to a woman at reception via phone call who was very rude to me, stating that she was not housekeeping and therefore couldn’t help me. i was told to send an email in order to get it back. obviously given the fact that it was around 8pm on the 4th (check out day) we had no choice but to return to the hotel in person. upon arrival i was greeted by the same woman, after explaining my situation she told me very sternly that she told me on the phone to email and that it was out of her power to assist me. even after explaining that i wasn’t local and have no choice but to check tonight she was persistently rude, i felt like i was really inconveniencing her over a small mistake. she informed that my kindle was logged in lost and found and rang housekeeping to see if someone could check. she did however in that same breath heavily insinuate that i was a huge inconvenience to her and the staff. i sat for five minutes and waited, then another staff member came down and handed me my kindle. he was very kind and helpful as were the rest of the staff.

Too hot, why do they not have better air conditioning inside. Or at least close the doors to the spa so the heat is not travelling up the stairs to the corridors and the rooms Uncomfortable sofa bed for kids, and I had to ask for a 2nd mattress I had a conference/events chair in my room as the desk chair. How is that 5 star I moved the desk myself as the only plug which I had to swap between the coffee machine, kettle, and laptop charger was underneath, so I had to get on my knees to change Things were not topped up each day in the bathroom and tea station. There were no tea bags after day 2, and we stayed for 7 days. No makeup remover pads and I had to go grab some myself from the trolley. The tea station had wooden spoons. How is that 5 star. There was a tear in the umbrellas by the pool upstairs. The pool outside was closed all day Monday, and we weren't even told, so we got ready to go, and it was closed. Kids were not allowed to play in the upstairs pool, but yet it claims to be a kid friendly hotel. I understand the spa pools but let kids play in 1 pool. You had to pay for water upstairs by the pool. How can a 5 star hotel not provide water, especially to children in 35 degrees heat. They added a 5% service charge on my total bill and said its up to me if i wanted to pay it. It was nearly 200 euros. Why would you put people in that position. I asked for it to be removed but felt pressured to give something, so I gave a small amount The shower tray was filled with water when you were showering. I asked twice for maintenance to sort it, but it was never sorted. They did attend but did not fix it. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided. Luckily, we did take our own The hairdryer in the bathroom is from the 80s. Surely a 5 star could update that Shower small. Tuscany, we will be back, but just not this hotel, unfortunately.
