We cancelled and had to book else where.

We turned up to discover the hotel was closed and were offered a very poor replacement. Dirty towels in the bathroom. Filthy sink.

They were expected ro pay the same amount for a -1 star replacement.

Hotel very old with poor amenities. The only good thing is its location.

Great Location

Air-conditioning poor. First night, air-conditioning didn't work, so I was given a fan. Then, the next day, I changed to another room with air-conditioning. Fridge in the rooms, but they don't work. Phone in the rooms also don't work so unable to call reception. No in-house breakfast, and bar not available. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen. Lucky for the location being close to all amenities/cafes. HOTEL VERY OLD - VERY POOR I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially in summertime.

Excellent location but hotel needs an updated

The location is excellent as within minutes of walking out of the hotel to the left you are on the port side of lake garda where you can catch the boat trips / ferries There are lots of lake side cages, restaurants and bats to enjoy yourself at, along the walk across the front The town during day has lots of different shops and a few travel exchange places, banks etc. that are useful when traveling

The air conditioning didn't work and we were there during recent 38 degrees heatwave ..so not happy as we paid for this The rooms need updating and a good luck of paint as looking worn out and tired Car is parked in the car park opposite and is an extra €18 on top of the charge for booking the room for an overnight stay

Selected for central location

Filthy, mouldy, damp smell , worn out fittings, stained fridge, air con couldn’t cope with heatwave. Complaint form done and left aster 1 night.

It’s okay to stay for short time if you got the best price.

The location is very perfect in Dezensano close to everything such as Dezensano pier, restaurants, pharmacy shop, beach and bus stop . The reception available as always when I contact.

It’s too old and some of equipments should be updated like hair dryer. I feel like stay in the vintage hotel around 30-40 years ago. The door lock should be changed for feel safety to stay. The strength of this hotel you need to leave the key at reception when you go out. Room can heard the sounds of outside.

Amazing stay, l will definitely come again, l loved everything!¡¡ Some people have said that needs updating, but l did not care, it was clean, comfortable, AC, faced to Marina, cheap! Yes, many reasons to love it!!!

Bed Bugs in room

Location is quite good, next to the harbour - about 10min walk away from the beach

Unfortunately our room was full of bed bugs, we informed the stuff but as the hotel was fully booked out all our options were either moving out and looking for sth new or staying.. After complaining several times we got a new appartment somewhere else at 5 in the morning. We filled out a compensation form but don‘t know yet how high the refund rate will be.

The closeness to the town and port is perfect, we had a lake-ish view which was nice

Clean,calm,budget,cute!

I was in this hotel for the first time, I was immediately pleasantly surprised with the location - just opposite the lake, next to a beautiful square, a small port with boats, cafes and restaurants, it was very easy to get from the station, I spent about 15 minutes,at the reception there was an employee, a very elegant blonde, polite, friendly, answered all questions briefly, clearly, and all with a smile! the room was clean, quiet, I slept great, very good pressure of hot water (sometimes this can be a problem), a lot of towels, I I’m traveling on a budget, at the height of the season in such a place I was just lucky to find such a simple and cozy room! P.S.: special thanks to the reception employee who worked on July 3rd, upon arrival I had to resolve several issues, I didn’t even have to spend a lot of time on this , professionalism and friendliness create a very good impression of this simple, small hotel! I recommend it if it is important to you: location, view from the window, proximity to cafes and restaurants, cleanliness, creative and calm approach to your needs!

saved by rain flooding our room, we got moved to a different structure

I was left speechless. The feeling of shame overwhelmed me as an Italian. Desenzano seemed like the last place any Italian would choose for a holiday, given its reputation as an undesirable location. However, I couldn't help but wonder if non-Italian tourists actually visit the area because of its gritty, rough-around-the-edges appeal. Perhaps, for some, the rawness adds a certain charm to their experience. Amidst this backdrop, Hotel Plaza stood out as an oasis of low quality and discomfort. I told my wife that I would rather sleep in our car than stay in the "perfect" Hotel Plaza. The only good thing is that they moved us to a different room after our room got flooded. We were saved by rain. thanks god.

The location was nice .

We had included the breakfast but there was nothing really to eat.There have been 3 slices of cheese and 3 slices of salami so in order to catch at least a slice of one of this you had to wait to bring 3 times. The old lady was upset when we said to her there is nothing to eat and said to us to go to the restaurant or somewhere else and she said that we are fat and we are eating too much. She is one of the owners and when we wanted to make a reclamation to the reception, she came there and said to the receptionist to not let us make the reclamation. The woman being afraid of her , she didn t make it but said to us she is sorry for that and there were many other people who had the same problem like us. By the way, I think she doesn’t like the German people. She said to us to go back to Germany ! ( maybe she’s racist also)

Only good thing was the location near the ferry terminal and the friendly staff.

Horrible place. The shower cubicle was dirty and the shower drain blocked so that you ended up showering in a pool of water. The air conditioning was so loud I couldn't hear myself think even on the lowest setting. We were not given any fresh towels even though we stayed several nights. The hotel hasn't been redecorated probably in over 50 years from the looks of it, the hairdryer should belong to a museum and some of the electric sockets looked dangerous. Worst of all, there were bugs on the bathroom floor! Also, there was no breakfast and the price didn't reflect that. The staff were friendly though and I feel sorry for them for having to work in that place.

Room was decrepit, not very clean. I sense it has been a long time since this hotel last had a major decoration. Sadly no air con, but there was a fan in the room, but still very hot at night. Only half the lights and plug sockets worked.

The location is great and the staff were all friendly.

The hotel is very tired, generally smells of dampness and stale cigarette smoke. The air conditioning has a plate bolted over it so you can’t set it cooler and so barely does anything.

Hotel was next to lake and good restaurants nearby. Clean rooms.

Only ok if you just wanna stay a day or two

The staff at the check in desk have been great. Very friendly and their English have been very good also. The old lady who was in charge of the breakfast buffet was awesome as well. The hotel is right in the center of town and is overlooking the boat harbor. Their are buses running almost in front of the hotel to and from the train station, but it is not more than 15 minutes by foot anyway.

The rooms have been small and rather dark. The air condition was working but not really cooling the room down...needed most likely to change the cooling fluid. Worst of all, there was a constant noise of running water or splashing water coming through the walls...and that wasn't only in our room so, as we overheard a family complaining at the front desk that their kids couldn't sleep at night because of that noise.

Hotel Plaza was in a good location near the lake and all of the bars and restaurants. The staff were all friendly.

This hotel needs investment. The decor is awful… the rooms are like a youth hostel… that might be mean in youth hostels…. The air-conditioner finally made a difference after 36 hours. The room was beyond basic. The lake view was a car park and some boats- the lake was hidden behind trees. Our shower was blocked and kept threatening to overflow.
