Such a fantastic stay at an amazing hotel.

We stayed here 20 years ago and again now. We'd stay again next time we go to Sam Gimignano. The rooms are large and so beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic and the owners couldn't have been kinder and so helpful. The location is perfect because it's close to all the shopping but in a quiet part of the town.

I have no complaints. We loved every minute.

Best night sleep I had in a week of hotels in Italy

Literally the best location in the center of town with very comfortable bed a duvet 2 pillows each a bathtub which I loved after walking 24 km. Fabulous breakfast with eggs made to order and bacon. Wonderful accommodation lots of history with a modern amenities

Lovely old-world Italian charm in the heart of a Midevil city.

Excellent location in town. Great staff. Great breakfast. Nice courtyard. Helpful arrival videos. Quiet. Lovely paintings on the walls and ceiling. Very dark shutters in room made sleeping great. Beautifully remodeled bathroom. Close to great restaurants and shops. Multi-day parking discount. Elisabeth was so very nice and friendly!

The TV volume was limited to “18”, a level so low that it was unwatchable.

Our room was clean and comfortable and perfectly fine for us for two nights- however the (single) beds were actually quite small so may not suit everyone.

Be aware there is no lift from the ground floor to reception on the first floor, so you must be able to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs to access the hotel

Frescoed bedroom walls, first class hotel.

The hotel is at the far end of the main walking concourse through town. First class breakfast, large comfy room. We wished we could have stayed another night. The staff directed us to a great restaurant, Il Pino, a one minute walk from the hotel. Our room had 200-year-old frescos on the walls.

We didn’t like the shower bathtub…huge step into the tub with no hand rails to grab.

Basic city centre accommodation. Great location but awful coffee.

The city centre location of the hotel is convenient for sightseeing, restaurants, shopping & bars, but it wasn't noisy. There is also an interesting historic basement (pictured) with a well & grain storage facilities. There was plenty of storage space in the cupboard & lots of hot water in the shower. The choice of food at breakfast is good.

Our room was compact & pretty basic. There are too few power plugs & no pretence at luxury. Our friends had a nearby room they described as the smallest & "most uncomfortable since student days". Avoid room 34 on the 3rd floor if you can! The good choice of food at breakfast is spoiled by the coffee - unquestionably the worst we experienced in 12 days in Italy!
