I had such a lovely stay here. The cabin was peaceful and exactly the quiet escape I was looking for. One of the highlights was spotting a deer during my stay. It made the whole experience feel even more special. I was travelling with my dog, and I really appreciated how dog friendly the property is. There’s a secure fenced area out the back, plus a doggy door, which made everything so easy and stress free. The cabin has plenty of character and a cosy, welcoming feel, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sitting by the fire was the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring. Renee was a wonderful host. She was quick to respond, incredibly accommodating, and made the whole experience effortless. Most importantly, as a solo female traveller, I felt completely comfortable and safe throughout my stay. I’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.
I should have booked to stay longer

Lovely and peaceful for a nice time away of the city and the busy life. A lot of birds in the mornings. Would definitely go back again. Has everything you need for cooking and having a nice dinner at the cabin. Specially nice and cozy in the winter.
Because it was raining, the floor (outside the cabin) was muddy and slippery. Just a consideration for traveling

It was a very peaceful cottage. Loved the atmosphere of the birds coming to feed on the seed. The sound of the rain and fog. Quiet.
We arrived and was not told that there was going to be work on the drive way to the spa cottage. Which means we couldn't park next to our cottage. As it was raining, we had to walk in the dirt and mud to get to the cottage, which was very slippery and dangerous. The cottage was very cold when we arrived, so we put the split system on in the bedroom, while we got the fire going. There were no kinling, or fire fighters for the fire. The logs were too big. Need to split them again or twice more. The cardboard/wax bricks take forever to light. The basket outside where there is suppose to be firewood was empty. After an hour of the split system being on, it was still cold. It does not work. It has cobwebs on it (old cobwebs, not new). I think it needs a clean. The only heating we ended up using was the long bar heater. The sofa is terrible. You can not relax. The cushions sink into the sofa bed and you end up sitting on the sofa bed bar. Our backs and bottoms hurt after an hour sitting on it. The hot water isn't very hot. I had a bath and only used the hot water tap, and still it wasn't hot. The plug barely works. It doesn't sit in the plug hole, and moves so water drains. There is also a button for heat in the bathroom, which does not work. The hair-dryer in the draw is very dirty. The skirting around the bed is dirty. There is spill marks down the wall near the bed/window. I understand that the cottage is old and rustic, which we usually love, but it needs to be clean and things need to work. There was a review about 3 weeks ago regarding some of the same stuff. Clearly nothing has been fixed as it stated in the review.
