About this house rental

This romantic vacation home for 6 people is located in the peaceful green hills of the Flemish Ardennes, with stunning views of the town of Ronse and the hills of Wallonia ("Le Pays des Collines").
The interior, featuring original furnishings, the crooked walls, and the view give the house a unique charm. It takes you on a journey through time, far away from all your worries.

An ideal base for beautiful hikes and challenging bike rides (Tour of Flanders). 40 minutes from Pairi Daiza.

Children call the house "the gnome’s cottage."

We’d love to invite you to come experience for yourself the magical and authentic energy of this over 200-year-old farmhouse.
The name "La Quitapenas" means in Spanish:
"She who takes away worries." According to a Mayan legend, you can entrust your worries to a little doll called a "Muñeca quitapenas" before going to sleep. If you place the doll under your pillow, it will worry in your place during the night, allowing you to sleep peacefully.
There are several mountain bike and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, such as the "Getuigenheuvels" hiking network in the Flemish Ardennes, the Flemish Ardennes cycling network, and the GR-route LF6, GR122-Scheldeland, GR-Flemish Ardennes, and GR5A-Tour of Flanders (GR = Grote Routepaden).

Very interesting cottage with all the facilities we needed and a beautiful garden. Everyone slept well. The upstairs was very quirky and we loved that it had slopey floors. It was a great base for visiting the area. Ronse is a lovely town too. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We felt very welcome!! We would stay again!

My husband and I stayed here for several days while sightseeing in the neighborhood. Communication with the host for check in was great, and I really appreciated the good local information she provided as well. The house is very comfortable, in a great location, and has a wonderful backyard that we used for eating our meals and relaxing in the evenings. The whole stay what exactly what we needed and the house and host were perfect. We would absolutely stay again if we come back to the area.
