Location is very good close to the beach, nice restaurants, stores etc. The house has a parking spot,great personel, there always was someone so it felt extra secure.

Be prepared to pay deposit, which we found a bit weird actually.

Nice guest-house, not appartments

Very well located. Charming guest house, in a rather classical style for Cape Town. I came late and the care-taker was kind enough to wait for me till late.

When I booked it, it was called Albatros Suite one-bedroom appartment, whereas it is a standard room in a guest house, nothing of an apartment. The room is nice and of good size though over-stuffed with furnitures. The pictures on the description are taken with wide angle and make the place, whether rooms or garden, look much bigger than it is in reality.

Easy, clean, cozy, and great location!

The location was perfect for our stay in Sea Point! The front garden is absolutely beautiful and cozy and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was great! Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a good hotel room for a few nights while staying in sea point! There was also a mini fridge which was very handy for our stay.

Comfortable guest house in great location.

Great location right by the main road of shops and restaurants. Short walk to a beautiful beach. The guest house was lovely, spacious room and great facilities. Easy short and inexpensive taxi ride into Cape Town. Lovely promenade walk down to the nest resort of Sea Point. Located right by the drop off for the City Sightseeing tour buses, so I was able to use that as well. Nice gardens and pool. Super secure. Lovely stay.

It is located on the main road which might not appeal to some, but not a problem for me. As a lone female traveller I felt very secure here walking out at night because it was so centrally located.

Hidden gem in busy Seapoint!

Albatross Guest House is a little hidden gem with a great price-value in a busy Seapoint area. It literally was a little hideaway. Only 400m further starts a busy street with restaurants, cafes, ice cream shops, ... Also not to far from the promenade. After having been in more remote place we have been a little overwhelmed with the noise of a city - but Albatross Guest House was just great to tuck away from that. There is a little pool too - but it is little.

There is no breakfast option but you can prepare anything yourself if you like - the kitchen and seating area is open to all. Also there is a commercial street close-by which serves all needs.

We booked a 50 sqm room with a bunk bed months in advance for peak December. Instead, we were forced into a 20 sqm room with a couch. The lack of honesty was staggering. Management admitted they gave our room away because another guest decided to extend their stay. Their "solution" was either to accept the tiny room or take a refund and leave—an impossible choice during Cape Town’s busiest season when no other options exist. To be told "we can’t kick people out" when we were the ones being displaced from our confirmed booking was insulting. Avoid this property if you value your booking security. We only managed to save our holiday thanks to the Southern Sun Cullinan, who provided the professional hospitality this establishment lacks.

Bad guest house, please please stay away if you don’t want to loose your money

I got to the guest house, I couldn’t stay there, what was displayed online was not what they had. I booked for a family luxury room but when I got there, they had just 2 separate rooms also the room look like where they do short time that is proto house, I just canceled my booking and they haven’t refunded back, pls don’t book this guest house, they are scammers

The stay was memorable, I will not stay there again, this is purely based on my experience.

Close to the sea, with easy access to shops, bars and the waterfront. The red bus stops close to the property. Close to some markets and fairly safe as in a decent location.

Disappointing Stay Despite Friendly Staff I really wanted to enjoy my stay here, especially given its great location near the sea, shops, and waterfront. Unfortunately, several issues made the experience uncomfortable and frustrating. Firstly, the breakfast option is no longer available, which was a letdown. The parking is not secure, with only allocated bays and no real protection. The beachfront area felt unsafe, with many people loitering and watching for opportunities—something to be mindful of. The room we were initially placed in had mold on the ceiling and curtains, a broken main light switch, and a leaking shower that turned the bathroom into a water feature every time we used it. The staff were aware of these issues and moved us to another room, but sadly, things didn’t improve much. In the second room: The shower door wouldn’t close The drain was blocked, causing water to pool and drain extremely slowly The air conditioning didn’t work for the entire stay The toilet was installed so high that my feet couldn’t touch the ground, which was both uncomfortable and impractical To top it off, the noise from the road outside, especially from taxis honking early in the morning, made it hard to rest. While the staff were friendly and tried to help, the overall condition of the property and the number of unresolved maintenance issues made our stay very disappointing. These may seem like small things individually, but together they had a significant impact on our comfort. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until these problems are properly addressed.

Very disappointed in the room. - Super thin walls. I could hear the neighbours talk in the middle of the night, the noise from the common room, the cooking noise. - No isolation. All the smells from the kitchen came in my room. - The sink only had a weak hot water flow. - Internet really not at high speed and dropping frequently, a few times a day.

I enjoyed my stay as it was close to many amenities and I met so many friendly people.

I absolutely loved the location and the fact that it was walking distance from the beach, shops and nightlife . Anton was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and warm.

The stopper in the hand basin didn't work so I could not do my face routine as the warm water for the hand basin didn't work too. There was no mat for when you step out of the shower and it increase the chances of slipping. There was only one coffee sachet and we were two.

The location was definitely the best point here. Although the parking lot is outside, we felt safe leaving the car because it's close to the guard room and there are cameras.

Because the room was close to the kitchen, we suffered from noise from people using the kitchen and from people chatting in the living room, that disturbed us a little.

Not all rooms have air conditioning

An “air cooler” is not air conditioning. I only needed a place to sleep for one night so I booked this place specifically because it said it had air conditioning. But there was no air conditioning in my room, only a portable air cooler (essentially a fan) which had absolutely no impact on the temperature in the room, as expected. Otherwise fine but wouldn’t stay again because of this
