The Etna-Taormina vacation home is located on the eastern coast of Sicily, across from the beautiful beaches of Fondachello, just a few kilometers from Mount Etna, Taormina, and Giardini Naxos, offering you a dream vacation amidst the beauty of Sicily.
A charming 75-square-meter apartment, just 20 meters from the sea with private parking, located within the “Antigua” residence, which features a swimming pool and is equipped with every comfort; sleeps 6. The “Antigua” residence, ideal for families with children, is strategically located for exploring the slopes of the magnificent Mount Etna and the main cities and towns of eastern Sicily: Syracuse, Noto, Ragusa, Catania, Aci Trezza, Acireale (where Sicily’s most beautiful Carnival takes place in February), Taormina, the Alcantara River Gorges, Messina, and Giardini Naxos. The pool is open from June through September, and in August, guests can enjoy on-site entertainment at the residence, as well as the children’s play area.
Nearby, you’ll find numerous bars and pastry shops offering traditional Sicilian specialties. The supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, and post offices are all just a few minutes away.
From here, in every season, you can explore Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest volcano, which was recently nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its uniqueness and natural significance. If you visit in the summer, you’ll enjoy spending a day at the water slides of Etnaland or exploring the adventure trails in the Monti Rossi and Etna parks.
For hiking enthusiasts, there are beautiful trails within the Etna Regional Park year-round. In winter, Mount Etna is also a popular destination for ski enthusiasts, thanks to the snow-covered slopes of Nicolosi. The house is very close to the “Monti Rossi,” ancient volcanic cones now covered by a pine forest.
The house consists of two bedrooms, a spacious living room with a kitchenette, a bathroom, a storage room, and two large covered balconies—one directly above the pool area and the other at the back, equipped with a barbecue. Inside, you’ll find bed linens, bath towels, and kitchen linens. We provide an iron with an ironing board, a hot water dispenser for the bathroom, and a hair dryer. The house is fully air-conditioned and heated during the winter. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes, a kettle, pots, plates, cutlery, and a microwave.
