4 Bears Cabin, Ruidoso (Alto), NM

The stunning 4 Bears Cabin is in beautiful Alto, New Mexico, at the base of the majestic 12,000 ft Sierra Blanca mountain. Located about 5 miles north of Ruidoso, at an altitude of 7,500 ft, this breathtaking Montana Log Cabin sleeps up to 15 and is an excellent vacation retreat suitable for large family gatherings. 4 Bears is your perfect home base for holidays, skiing, golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, weddings or shopping. It is also the perfectly peaceful retreat to just sit on the deck and listen to the breeze through the tall pines, read a book, or watch wildlife.

The Cabin has approximately 2,800 square feet and includes 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are private Master Suites with King beds and on-suite bathrooms. There are also 2 lower level Queen bedrooms that share a bathroom. The loft upstairs has 2 twin beds with a single futon. Additionally, the two separate living areas each have hide-a-bed couches and TVs.

The main level Great room has a beautiful freestanding gas fireplace with a breathtaking view of the tall pines through a two-story glassed wall. In addition to the cozy fireplace (that puts out a ton of heat!) there are two separate high efficiency furnaces for the lower and main levels. The 4 Bears Cabin has both a water softener and a reverse osmosis system ideal for drinking water, coffee, and tea. The full kitchen has modern appliances with a new super quiet dishwasher. The cabinets are fully stocked with all pots, pans, dishes, and utensils you will need. There is also a huge stainless gas grill on the deck for those thick Ribeyes or Brats.

Log stairs lead up to the loft overlooking the windowed living area. The two main level master suites have French doors opening onto the large back deck that spans the entire rear of the cabin. The deck has beautiful views of the trees and mountains and is an excellent area for relaxing and enjoying the wildlife and birds. A small creek (Little Creek) runs through the bottom of the property. Elk, deer, black bears, wild horses, turkey, and other wildlife are abundant in the area.

4 Bears Cabin is located at 115 Mogul Rd, Alto, NM 88312, about 5 miles north of Ruidoso on Hwy 48 (Mechem Drive), across from Alto Country Club. Maps, MapQuest and most GPS programs will bring you right to the front door. The road is paved all the way to a new circular gravel driveway that has plenty of parking.
