Old World Charm

Old world charm with a modern touch. The single room was spacious with a small kitchenette. Dishes and silverware just enough for One. The housekeeper gave me new towels daily. The Owner of the Hotel carried my luggage up the stairs and 9 days later on check out he carried my luggage to my rental car for me. I only ate breakfast one time during my stay but the variety of meats, cheeses and marmalade was plenty. I definitely recommend the Gala Hotel.

Very worst rural area, there is no proper identification, to be claimed on hills, there is no lift, even for the second floor by steps we have to walk with heavy luggage

Bad

Hotel is under construction, but the common areas are just dirty. I understand the are going through some renovations, but it would not hurt to do some basic cleaning in some areas. To remove the dirty bedding ,some trash ect. The owners do not care. You can hear literally everything, lots of construction workers living there, and they are loud and drinking. At the reception woking bunch of kíds. It is not safe und not realiable . Luck of safety, basic hygine in the common area, food is greasy, constant noise, smell in the room, broken furniture, horrible pillow- this is not the whole list .... The Staff leaves at 20 00 and then the hotel is living its own life, noise is constant, at nicht, early morning , evenings. I would never stay or this hotel or recommend it to anyone.

The Ibis Styles was fantastic ! Your hotel was not !

We arrived at the hotel and there was no one there, the door was locked and we could not gain access. The phone went straight to answer phone so we were not anle to contact anyone !! We went into pforzheim and booked a room for two nights at extra expense at the Ibis Styles ! The next day I recieved a message from yourselves stating the hotel was unmanned and access was to be gained through the use of a keysafe and a card !!! This was totally unacceptable THE DAY AFTER WE ARRIVED ! I would ask and expect a full refund due to extremely poor service but I doubt it will be forthcoming! Next time we come to Pforzheim we will not be using the Gala Hotel and I will personally advise anyone who asks me that your hotel is not a good place to stay !

The room itself was lovely. Just thin walls

The scaffolding on the stairs that we had to walk through. The noise the heating made all night. The people in the rooms next to us talking until 2 & then being woken at 7 by their friends asking for cars to be moved

Large room, newly laid carpet. Bathroom was very modern and clean. Staff helpful, did us a takeaway breakfast as we had an early start.

Far too many stairs. It was down a couple of flights from the car parking space at the rear of the hotel then up several flights to the 3rd floor room. Our original room was up small wooden staircase in the attic area. We said this was too many stairs so we're given a room on the 3rd floor instead. The hotel could benefit from having a lift installed..

Very spacious room. Very good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. We arrived very late at night and they message dus to explain where keys would.be. good value for money.

One of the bedrooms was missing a curtain/blind which effected our sleep.
