You can start a nice hike straight from the hotel, which is nice if you don't have much time. The Lac Blanc hike is very worthwhile doing. It's about 4,5km and has some steep boulder climbs. In the weekends it will be crowdy though. We did it on a Monday 1100 which was okay in terms of crowds. Parking is free of charge

1) The main issue w/ this nice place in our view is the fact that it doesn't have its own restaurant. They do offer breakfast. Staff is very helpful but is not always around, esp in the evening. This means you have to dine elsewhere, which has as a consequence that either 1) not all can taste the wines and spirits of the region, or 2) you have to drive unsober - which seems socially accepted. We found restaurant Les Alisiers very good and neat, a 15 min drive to La Poutroie. The restaurants on Col Bonhomme are quite underwhelming, as very busy and mass tourism focused. Corona rules don't seem to apply there, neither does common sense-ventilation. There is a little fridge in the lounge of the hotel where u can grab a beer or so upon your return. Don't forget to bring your own water if u care about such things, as hotel staff drinks the tap water, something we don't do in French-speaking countries. 2) Another "issue" (not always though to everyone) is the lack of an airco, which isn't helpful as it means you have to sleep w/ your windows open when it's hot. However opposite of the road is a belltower which unconveniently tolls every 15 mins. This did not bother us though. 3) note on Mondays and Tuesdays some of the better dinings are closed, we had Flammkuchen at au Chausseur Alpin, which was fine.

Logement très propre. Personnels très gentils et accueillants. Nous avons passés un très bon séjour. Nous le recommandons.

Juste le wifi qui ne fonctionnait pas dans la chambre.
