Purbeck Cliffs is a spacious, modern ground floor apartment with its own large indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and snooker room. It is set in its own landscaped garderns of 1.5 acres beside the famous 300 acre Durlston Country Park and Jurassic Coastal Path, an area of outstanding natural beauty which stretches along Dorset’s award winning Heritage Coast. Purbeck Cliffs apartment is in a very quiet , peaceful cul de sac yet only 1 mile from Swanage town centre and beach with all its excellent local shops and restaurants and a market that takes place every Friday" The award winning blue flag beach is a safe sandy bay of approximately a mile, to swim, hire Kayaks, go fishing and enjoy. The accommodation comprises of two bedrooms, including a spacious twin bedded room and a family room with a double bed and full size bunk beds, a 40’ indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and full size snooker table. The apartment benefits from its own private pool with a slide and sun beds, sauna and snooker room to have fun or just relax. There Is a sun lounge with TV and DVD to just chill or play board games. There is also a further shower room and relaxation area equipped with lounges. Patio doors lead from the pool onto a secluded patio area ideal for sunbathing and barbecues.
Swanage hosts many special events including the Jazz festival, Swanage Folk Festival, Classic and Steam Vehicle Show, Purbeck International Chamber Music Festival, Swanage Carnival week with a spectacular display by the famous Red Arrows.

Lovely quiet area . Loved watching the deer in the garden. It was very enjoyable having the swimming pool and use of the snooker table. Country park was only a few minutes away

The main reason for booking this property was the private pool and we were not disappointed. Extremely quiet location and lots of wild life to admire.The hosts were friendly and very responsive to all our initial enquiries and met us in the same manner.Throughly recommend everything that was on offer.

We had a fantastic week here. The apartment is lovely and has everything you need for a family holiday. Amazing pool which our grandson loved, as did us all. The sauna & full size snooker table was great too. Everything was spotlessly clean & comfortable. We were lucky to have nice sunny weather all week so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous garden too. The apartment is just a 5 minute walk to Durlston Country Park with its castle, cafe serving delicious food & drinks & amazing costal walks. Sue & Steve were great hosts & were on hand if we needed them. Thank you for making us feel very welcome. We can’t wait to come back!

My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed our break here. The setting is very quiet and peaceful, right on the edge of a country park. The deer showing up daily in the vast garden were a joy to watch. The swimming pool was our main focus and absolutely lovely to spend time in, as was the sauna afterwards, all very relaxing. Kitchen very well equipped, and a barbecue area, and comfy sitting room and beds.Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. I have a sensitivity to fragrance & other chemicals, which I corresponded with Sue about in advance and she was very understanding and went out of her way to help. We had a lovely stay and hope to return. Many thanks!

Great location for peace and quiet, walking and exploring Dorset.Beatifully kept property, comfortable and clean with the added bonus of a truly "Private" 40ft swimming pool which is quite unique because in this instance it really does mean private!The Snooker room is also fantastic. Being such a well maintained property there was no need for contact with Sue and Steve throughtout our stay except on arrival. Hope to return one day with the Grandchildren as I am sure they would love the fantastic swimming pool. KIndest Regards Geoff and Marina

A lovely stay in this unique property. Sue was very welcoming and left some lovely goodies to eat & drink. The apartment was clean and airy, set in a lovely garden, often frequented by roe deer. The full-size snooker table was a bonus, and the compact sitting room is more than made up for by the large, indoor swimming pool. The only slightly negative thing is the intermittent wi-fi connection and inability to watch Netflix.

We loved the location-just a stone's throw from South Coast Path, perfect for scenic walks and coastal adventures. The facilities were top-notch, and the swimming pool was a real highlight. The only suggestion would be to upgrade the bunk bed mattresses. Overall, a great stay and highly recommended!

We’ve just spent a terrific week at this unique holiday property. It really did have so much to offer, set in a rural, and yet convenient location. The jewel in the crown had to be the wonderful, large indoor swimming pool, complete with sun loungers, dining table and chairs, a sauna and 2 separate shower rooms - all accessible directly from the kitchen and with no need to venture out into the garden. We had difficulty enticing our 3 year-old grandson away from the pool, even with the promise of visits to the beach! The adults all loved spending lots of time in the swimming pool too!The unusual addition of a full sized snooker table provided lots of competitive fun and we were entertained by the regular visits from roe deer in the garden.The owner, Sue and her husband were an unobtrusive presence during our stay. They were welcoming and friendly, providing milk, cookies, fruit, fudge, chocolates and a bottle of Cremant for our arrival. All in all, a brilliant experience.

Stayed at this amazing property at rathet last minute and will most definitely book again.This ground floor apartment is incredible... hosts are amazing, providing great detail, supplying and indepth welcome pack, supplying towels and the like, plus a few essentials including a welcomed bottle of fizz Location is fantastic, very private and not overlooked whilst only being a 15min walk into swanage high street (although note its a steep walk back)Clean venue, well decorated and has lots to entertain the whole family.. friendly and knowledgeable hosts, plus indoor pool and sauna...could not ask for more!Thank you sue & steve... hope to return soon

Very well kept apartment with lots of lovely extras, such as slippers, dressing gowns, fruit, bottle of bubbly! The main focus of the apartment is the pool and the snooker table, so suitable for teenagers and adults. Pool was a little cold but the facilities around it were great, apart from one shower not working. Sauna was amazing! We all used the shower next to the pool, as the water ran warm there. We couldn’t get the water to run hot in the main bathroom, which is also a bit awkward to get into. Cleanliness is excellent. Everything worked well, the only issue we had was intermittent internet connection. The owners were always friendly and hands on to help but the children couldn’t watch any films on Netflix, which was a little disappointing. The TV area room was a bit awkward too, but difficult to get a family of 5 to relax in after a long day out. The grounds were beautiful but we didn’t explore them. The apartment is very high up on Purbeck cliffs, so great for those that like a hike. We didn’t manage to walk anywhere. We drove into town everyday as it would have been a very steep walk back to the apartment. Durlston castle is nearby which you could walk to, that is a beautiful place to visit.

Thanks for a lovely stay at your property. The property is in a lovely location just outside Swanage, ith handy access to the costal path for walks from your door. The pool and sauna were very much appreciated by us all. My husband and teenage son loved the full size snooker table. The property is a great size, was very clean with access to a huge garden too. We stayed as a family of 4 and would love to return. The owners were very helpful too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this very well maintained, clean apartment, and appreciated use of the private swimming pool and sauna, and huge terrace, looking out on an expansive garden with regular deer visits. It was very quiet, which we were glad of, with lovely walks from the house. We weren't relying on the internet, and so were less bothered by fluctuating signals, and would very happily return.

What a wonderful holiday, the pool was an absolute hit with our grandchildren, so much so that they didn’t want to go anywhere else, gifts on arrival, milk in fridge, such friendly hosts, we loved being so close to Durlstone, too steep and hilly to walk into and back from Swanage, so I would recommend a car unless you are very fit, I would definitely recommend this holiday rental and would love to go back again.

We enjoyed our stay in Dorset which is such a lovely area to explore. We’ve enjoyed private pool holidays for the last 4 years as it’s just incredible having your own pool, both for children and adults, especially if the British weather isn’t good enough! We had a positive experience here and thank Sue and Steve for a lovely stay and for being so helpful. The only thing we forgot to question was Vrbo’s listing which included a hot tub/whirlpool spa which this property doesn’t have. Other than that everything is listed correctly.

This is just the most amazing property we have ever stayed at and Sue and Steve are just the perfect hosts. The place is so well kept, and has everything you could ever want. It’s also worth mentioning that while the listing on its own shows how much stuff the property has Sue and Steve have added so much more little touches, like the milk ready in the fridge, the chocolate fudge, toiletries and Dorset tea and so much more. All of these things just show how incredible they are as hosts and how they truly care about making your stay an amazing one. This will be a holiday to remember and I just hope we get to go as a family again

We stayed here for 3 nights during the recent stormy weather and despite this still had a fantastic time. We would highly recommend this property and the pool is amazing and such a rarity to find. The snooker table was entertaining also! Sue and Steve left some milk, fruit, biscuits, bubbly and chocolate/fudge for us and it was such a nice touch and gratefully received. The property was extremely clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfy. We wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again! We absolutely adored our week in this apartment. The location is amazing for accessing the best of what Dorset has to offer. The pool, sauna and snooker table are rare and lovely facilities to have. The place was absolutely spotless upon arrival and Sue and Steve are extremely lovely and always on hand if needed. From watching the deer potter across the garden to listening to the owls at night, it really is a wonderful place to stay.

From the moment we arrived, the house looked super, well kept garden, very clean outside, and greeted by the owner Sue, who showed us around, nothing was too much trouble. We came and went using the side door which led into a double bedroom, along with bunkbeds, ideal for a family, the room was bright and airy, plenty of hanging space with a large wardrobe off to the side of the bedroom, next to the bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. when walking into the lounge there is an enormous snooker table, great fun having a go, then there is a sunroom with a colour television, plenty to watch, although we found the settee a little uncomfortable and would have loved a tv in the bedroom, we tried our laptop to watch but the signal wasn't to be, I think it would benefit a booster downstairs for the Wi-Fi, as the owner lives upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, I did buy a non stick frying pan while I was there and donated, as the one which was in the house, had seen better days, and breakfast had to be peeled off the bottom of the pan, but didn't detract in any way to our super stay. The swimming pool was lovely, and it was amazing to see the wildlife while in the pool, we saw squirrels, deer came down but quickly ran away, it was lovely to see them though, there are two shower rooms on the poolside along with a sauna, this holiday home is a hidden gem, plenty to see and do in the area. What a house swimming pool is huge lovely area by the pool to sit massive outside area and gardens the inside is beautiful immaculately kept beds are really comfy all the furnishings are really good quality. The pictures do not do it justice. Then you got all the little extras bottle of Prosecco, milk etc. I can not rate this property high enough. I’d like to say what a fantastic time we had. The swimming pool was a huge plus and both our goals spent 3 hours every day in the pool… The snooker table was great too. The property was very clean and it was so convenient that the essentials had been left for when we arrived, especially the milk and tea bags. Sue is a really kind person and nothing was too much trouble.. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back again in the near future. Thanks for everything!!

We had a lovely week at the apartment. The photos don't really do it justice! Everything we needed as a family was there as the property was very well equipped. Kids absolutely loved the pool and the large garden. We also ventured out during our stay and made a few trips to the local shops and beach. We also went on coastal walks nearby, explored Durlston Castle and went on a short cruise to Poole Harbour. Many thanks to Sue and Steve for being such gracious and considerate hosts and for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Many thanks to Sue & Steve who made us very welcome in their holiday apartment. We particularly loved the swimming pool, the beautiful garden with resident fox cubs and deer, and the locality for walking. It’s a fabulous area to visit - beaches, coastal paths, wildlife (we saw our first skylarks), and not too far from Abbotsbury if you want to visit the Swannery. All in all, highly recommended.

Purbeck Cliffs is a lovely ground floor apartment with access to a large garden close to some wonderful scenery. It's very well-equipped - even bathrobes and slippers (not mentioned in the listing) and pool towels. The pool is huge for a private property, and the sauna good too - brilliant for a wet day (or a sunny one if you open the outside doors). A sporty family (we were just the two of us) would enjoy the games, and the place is dominated by the full-size snooker room. The only real disadvantage: the house is up a long hill from town (and beach), and the local bus is summer-only, so you need to be fit or have transport. Also note that the WiFi signal is a bit weak - and our phones (on different networks) had no signal.

We were really lucky to get a week in this beautiful property at short notice. Really close to some fabulous coastal walks and countryside - you may well see deer and foxes out of the windows. Oh, and an amazing swimming pool complex...the pool really is big! The property is just a short distance from Swanage centre as well. Sue and Steve were great and very helpful hosts.

This was a lovely place to stay. Really clean & well equipped. Having the pool & the garden was great. Sue & Steve are lovely and you would never know they live upstairs. Lovely walks in the country park & lovely seeing deer in the garden. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
