"This is a very unique place, a room in an old house full of books. Books on the floor, books on shelves, a small table with a typewriter and sketching material. Your inner artist is waiting. Oh and it..."

The atmosphere was really nice. We by chance stayed in the most beautiful street of The Hague ☺️🫰 it was so pleasant that we would like to come back. The location was so central. The flat has a soul. The bookstore was very beautiful. The neighborhood was very safe. The bars and cafes around are wonderful. You could sometimes hear live jazz music. We loved it sooo much! We appreciate for our little breakfast offering at the cafe also ☺️
I really hope the shower problem could be fixed :( it wasn’t an issue in the first day since it was so hot but when the weather is rainy we really wished there was hot water :( Also a standing mirror on a corner would help ☺️

This is a very unique place, a room in an old house full of books. Books on the floor, books on shelves, a small table with a typewriter and sketching material. Your inner artist is waiting. Oh and its on the nicest shopping street in the city. I received a warm reception when i arrived, and loved going for breakfast in the cafe 150 metres away. You could easily spend a week or 2 here and use it as a base (30 mins Rotterdam, 10m Delft, 35m Haarlem, 60m Amsterdam)
This place is not for everybody. You have to check in between 3 & 6 at the Bookstor Cafe #39. there is no wifi (you can use the wifi in the cafe), in the room i had there were no bedside sockets & you have to hold the shower hose. And there's Dutch stairs ! (the people with the biggest feet in Europe specialised in the narrowest of stairs, just walk down sideways like a goat & you'll be fine). Anyway, I loved it

What I enjoyed most about staying here was the cozy room, which was filled with books and lush green plants that created a refreshing and relaxing atmosphere. The location is also very convenient, right in the heart of the city and surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area on foot.
The only thing I didn’t particularly like was the steep staircase. However, I think that’s completely understandable given that the building is over 100 years old and has retained its historic character.
