The location was great and having a kitchen with a full sized fridge and freezer was very helpful for being able to pack our lunches for the days in the park. We also appreciated having laundry facilities. The beds were very comfortable. Communication from the hosts was great.
We didn't appreciate from reading the listing that the bathroom is in one of the bedrooms, so the people staying in the other bedroom have to enter the bedroom with the bathroom to access the bathroom. There is also a heavy gate to the driveway of the property that is supposed to be secured at all times. It was sometimes difficult to maneuver in heavy winds and in the dark, so made coming and going a little bit of a struggle.

We love the close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park. We also feel like Casa Agave is a little hidden gem in the desert, it feels like the hosts really care about people enjoying their time in the home. It’s a beautiful little house and I definitely plan to book again in the future.
I don’t really consider this a con, but people unused to rural living might be bothered by hearing the coyotes at night.
