Location and the staff members were polite, hardworking, and did their best to help us throughout our stay.

The hotel still seems to be undergoing work, giving it an unfinished feel. During our three-night stay, our room was not serviced; while we did not require fresh towels, having the bins emptied and cups replaced would have been appreciated. Water accessibility was also a bit difficult, as there was no in-room water or public fountain, meaning the stretched staff had to manually refill bottles from behind the bar. Since the hotel primarily caters to Lake District walkers who need to refill water bottles, installing a guest water fountain would be a major asset. The team is very helpful but appears understaffed, as we noticed the same receptionist working breakfast and closing down the bar late at night.
