Appartement "Jardins"

Just perfect. And a safe place to put the bicycles.

Spacious, well-appointed and clean accommodation. Lovely setting with the historic hill town overlooking the river, and canoe hire literally next door. Bars and restaurants within a very short walk. Very good wifi. Massive television with cable channels. Well-functioning kitchen equipment. Piping hot water all the time. Toilet separate from nicely equipped bathroom. Outside (as well as inside) dining table with large wind-up canopy. Ideal space for a family with up to four children. Useful to have the option to depart up until 11:00.

The whole place felt quite austere - very few personal touches and loads of empty cupboards and drawers, no local tourist maps or leaflets or even a packet of old sticky playing cards. It seemed like the place had been stripped of anything a previous guest might have left for the next people - there were absolutely no comestibles (not even a pot of salt). And no cups bigger than espresso size. If it was my place, I would install mesh on the windows to stop bugs. Despite all the storage, there was nowhere to hang clothes up except the coat rack in the hall.. We found it a bit strange for a 3 bedroom, family-friendly accommodation to only have twin beds. And only enough comfortable seating for 4 people - one sofa and chair
