About this house rental

Pets must be disclosed and approved in advance.
Come and stay, be inspired, read or write a best seller, or spend a cozy few days, week, or month, in the heart of Bradenton - Florida’s best kept secret. Step back in time in this fully updated classic 1938 bungalow (or is it a cottage? – you decide) with that Tommy Bahama/Trader Vic’s feel, reminiscent of a bygone era when the world’s adventurers would travel to Florida for sun, fun, relaxation and restoration of the soul. Situated in the quiet and friendly – but never trendy - historic Onwego Park neighborhood, your well-appointed home-away-from-home is a short walk to local shops, pubs, restaurants, and Bradenton Country Club, and equidistant (~5 miles) to Anna Maria Island Beaches to the west, downtown Bradenton restaurants, shops and bars to the east, and IMG Academy to the south.

You enter the knotty pine foyer and look upon the elegantly understated living room with comfortable seating for modest gatherings of family and friends, containing cable television, a 1930’s bridge table, and working fireplace. In the bungalow’s northern section are the two large private bedrooms – one with twin beds next to the hallway’s full bath, and the other a Principle bedroom en-suite with a Queen bed and private bath with washer/dryer. The southern section of the home contains a large dining room overlooking the back garden leading to the spacious adjoining kitchen with all necessary cooking items, with a door to the large deck, pergola, and spacious back garden. The dining room also leads you to the fully screened lanai Tiki-bar. This may become the wind-down entertainment center you will want to return to night or day, either before or after . . . or you may just not want to leave . . . .

All the comforts and convenience await your quest for solitude and casual elegance - stay a while – create real memories . . . . .

2 Bedroom, 2 Baths, full kitchen, living room, dining room, lanai tiki bar, hard wood floors, washer/dryer, large back yard, off street parking, smart television and high speed internet.

Three night minimum stay.
Pets accepted with deposit on a case by case basis.

Michael as a host is truly amazing! Not only did he accommodate our sweet angels, but left us wonderful treats in the very big and fabulous kitchen, including fresh flowers. The whole place is very cozy and comfortable. I love the creaking orginal wood floors and wonderful decor. My fiancé and I had a wonderful weekend. Thank you!! This is a must stay in Bradenton. We visit often as my fiancés family lives in the area. This location is perfect!!

Great communication and the host allowed us a very late check out when our flight was delayed which was very much appreciated. The cottage worked out great for four of us for our soccer tournament weekend at the IMG fields.

It was a pretty charming cottage/home with a great location in Bradenton. There were some minor issues but overall we were very pleased and comfortable coming and going to beaches and attractions and biking. A botanical gardens nearby was awesome. A few political signs in neighbors yards wasn’t great but not an issue.

The outside could use some curb appeal. The inside was nice but I was a little nervous when I first pulled up. I thought it was an abandoned home. Bushes over grown and grass was VERY high. Other then that it was an ok property for the price. The roof is also leaking in the front of the home in the living room. Not any curtains in the master bathroom and could see into the neighbors house. So I know they could see into that bathroom.
