Le Domaine de Vert-bois, gîte 4*

We were looking for a property close to Château Soulac (wedding), and this property was very convenient - about a 10 min drive. It was larger than we needed for 5 so we had plenty of space. Excellent value.

For the stated occupancy of 9, the single WC in the property might be inconvenient, and there are just 2 shower rooms (one with bath, but both without WCs) apart from that - neither is en-suite. For the five in our party, it was fine. We didn't use the upstairs sleeping areas (except for the shower room) - low beams make it most suitable for children.

We were attending a wedding at the chateau nearby, perfect location

Calme, lumineux, bien équipé. Vue sur les vignes et les poulains qui gambadent.

Tout est très bien.

Stunning gite. Very spacious and very well equipped. Extremely quiet location with extensive grounds. Plenty places to sit or lie in the sun, shade or shelter. Loved seeing the horses next to the gite. Host met us as planned and spoke very good English (compared to our limited French). Very close to Chateau Rigaud for a wedding event. Lovely visit to Chateau Tour La Cadie (1km) for wine tour and purchase (very reasonable prices). 15 minutes drive to Castillon for supermarkets, cafes and train station to Bergerac (also to Bordeaux). 30 minutes drive to St Emillion which was lovely. 3 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bath/shower room downstairs. Upstairs is a double bedroom, a double bed on the mezzanine floor and a shower room. Huge sitting room and a very well equipped kitchen.

Everything was perfect. One extremely minor comment to note is that there is only one toilet, which is downstairs.
