Accomodation is nice, but buyer beware: sketchy business practices
The flat is modern, clean, and in a great location for hiking.
Shortly after we booked this property, the hosts reached out to us to ask if we wanted to extend our stay by one additional day. We replied that we might be interested, and asked if there was a discount for booking a full week instead of 6 days. The host offered us a reduced price (including cleaning etc.) provided we cancelled our booking with Booking.com and transferred them the money directly. We weren't comfortable with this, so we declined. The hosts then proposed that we could keep our original booking and pay the difference once we arrived. We agreed to these terms.
As were checking out we were surprised to be presented us with an invoice for double the amount we were expecting. We reminded the host of our agreement, and indicated that we were expecting to pay the difference between the agreed total and what we had already paid via Booking.com. The host claimed to have no knowledge of this conversation, saying that because we had received a 'special rate' on Booking.com, a discount was impossible for the additional day. We were simultaneously being rushed out of the property, imposed upon to immediately pay hundreds of Euros in cash, and threatened with legal action when we hesitated.
It's a shame as the accommodation itself is quite nice, but the original offer to circumvent Booking.com felt like a red flag, and our experience on the last day felt like a scam. I will concede that it's possible that the person with whom we interacted had, in all honestly, no knowledge of our written agreement, however I don't think this explains or excuses the manufactured urgency of the situation or their unwillingness to discuss our concerns.

Tolle Ferienwohnung, zu einem super Preis!
Die Ferienwohnung ist super schön mit Sonnenbalkon und allem was man braucht. Direkt an der Loipe gelegen und mit Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Türe. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hatte gute Tipps parat. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen und können die Ferienwohnung wärmstens empfehlen :)
