Great location but on a busy street to experience life in Catania. Less than a 10 min walk to the main Piazza. Room 2 was very spacious. No frig in the room but there is one outside. For the bathroom and shower you must go up spiral stairs to use. It wasn’t a problem for me.

Close to the city centre, straightforward communication with the host, fair deal for the price.

Just consider that the house itself must be pretty old with narrow walls so you can literally hear everything from the squeaky heavy front doors, the arrival of other guests, the ventilator pipes, etc. so there are noises during the night hours too. Also the room is pretty dark but if you just need a place to stay for the night it is okay. Both the room and bathroom were generally clean and tidy but some newer sheets and towels would add a lot to the overall comfort feel (they were clean, just felt a bit old). Some noticable limescale in the shower but I have seen worse. The bed itself is pretty soft and also felt pretty old and used, it is okay for a short visit but just don't expect the sleep of your life here.

3D House Catania is located a 10 minute walk from Piazza del Duomo with an air-conditioned and comfortable room and bathroom (the shower had multiple jets and excellent water pressure). There is a small but fully-equipped kitchen (microwave, caffetiere, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, etc) in the common area and it is far enough away from the Piazza to offer restful sleep. There is a small supermarket across the road and a nice cafe/bookshop a short distance away.
