Hotel Posada Los Destiladeros

We enjoyed the location which was just outside of Pedasi (10 minute drive). It was peaceful. We had a garden view suite. It had air conditioning, toilets, shower, a mini fridge, a comfy bed and a table with a couple of chairs. We didn't spend much time in the room as the pool area and beach with hardly any people were the places to be! We walked for hours and explored. We were thankful for the AC at night in the room. The breakfast was great with fresh fruit, juice, bread, coffee and eggs for breakfast. We did have dinner at the property two nights and the food was absolutely delicious. We would definitely stay again when we go back to Pedasi. The staff were super friendly and it was really a slice of paradise.

Bring a flashlight as there are limited electrical outlets in the rooms. Just the way it is in a more rural area so we were thankful we had them at night.

We stayed for four days in February 2026, and we had a truly wonderful and peaceful time there. This is an excellent place if you understand exactly what kind of experience it offers. The hotel is made up of a few villas and small buildings, set just above a beautiful, long and almost empty Pacific beach, about 15 km from Pedasí. Between the hotel and the nearest village, there is very little — and that is precisely part of its charm. You come here for nature, silence, space and relaxation. The hotel slightly overlooks the beach from small cliffs, which gives a lovely feeling of being surrounded by nature, almost as if you had this part of the world to yourself. During our stay, the beach was incredibly quiet, sometimes with only three or four people in sight, and the Pacific waves rolling in endlessly. The atmosphere of the hotel is very calm and family-like. The facilities are beautiful, mostly wooden, and have a slightly old-fashioned charm — not in a negative sense, but in a way that fits perfectly with the spirit of the place. This is not an international luxury resort with entertainment and constant service. It is a place to slow down, read, enjoy a cocktail above the beach, walk by the ocean, and simply take in the preserved nature around you. The staff were very kind and welcoming, with a warm and personal approach rather than a formal hotel style. The comfort was more than sufficient for what we were looking for, and the whole experience felt authentic and relaxing. Of course, if you want restaurants, nightlife, activities or a lively atmosphere, this is not the right place. You will need a car if you want to explore Pedasí, Chitré or the region. We did so during part of our stay, and it worked very well. As a conclusion, if you are looking for a quiet, contemplative, beautiful place by an almost empty Pacific beach, with nature all around and a simple, warm atmosphere, then this hotel is exactly the right choice. For us, it was exactly what we needed.

Everything...the location is perfect. A rustic oasis set on an elevated piece of land, right on the beach, with amazing ocean views and lush vegetation. Individual rustic wooden cabins with very comfortable beds, powerful air conditioning and all necessary amenities, including hot water, which is not necessary, due to the hot weather but is available. Very clean, neat and beautiful local artwork. It's a family own and run place and they do an amazing job. They are super nice, attentive to detail, friendly and eager to please. The restaurant is full of exotic, eclectic decorations, wooden furniture and rustic artifacts that give the place a homey, comfortable and curious vibe. And the food!¡!!!!!! Brian one of the brothers, the CHEF is awesome. Everything was delicious the best fried fish, when available, was perfectly seasoned and fried, delicious tostones( fried green plantain), the filet of fish comes with either garlic or coconut sauce, the mushroom pasta with chicken had one of our friends longing for more and the chocolate & cherry ice-cream was to die for. I think, our group ate the whole thing, because they run out of it, by the second night. All home made and freshly prepared!

That we had to leave. One night, the electricity went out for a few hours but that's kind of usual in panama.

The rooms are nice and the view from our room was beautiful. The kitchen staff was amazing, and the food was very good.

On arrival they were not expecting us, according to reception the Hotel is under maintenance and not resaving any bookings. The swimming pool was under renovation; we had to requests from them to clean our rooms, and the response was not up to standard.
