the facilities were nicely updated, moreso than any other hotel id recently stayed at in Port of Spain. reception staff friendly and polite. location is perfect.
1. At my INCLUDED breakfast, numerous times I was asked by different staff members for my room number, when I asked if I could either order a coffee or pour myself one ..staff said I could do either...it was only after leaving the breakfast table and about to enter the lift a staff member chased me down and said I needed to sign for the coffee.
2. The omelet station chef was a bit impolite as she corrected me that I should say I would like an "everything omelete" instead of a " ham and cheese omelet with everything" Not really a big deal but not a great experience either.
3.All the bills are quoted in USD although the native currency is TTD at a 7 to 1 rate. Food and drink there is quite expensive.

Staff were friendly. Nice rooms
Pool better area than it looked
Room was disappointing for price, we had multiple issues. They did move us but I’d expect a room to have hot water without asking.
Breakfast was disappointing
Staff were friendly but felt was just about wanting tips eg ‘signing’ for included breakfast just so they could ask for a tip or being charged service for me picking up a can and someone scanning it.
For £200+ a night I’d expect more tbh
