All we could have asked for and more

Great property, highly recommend, excellent hosts.

The property is beautiful. Great location and well stocked with everything that you need. The property is spacious and great for a family. The bathrooms are large and the shower is lovely.

The double bed in the upstairs main bedroom, was hard and not very comfortable. Though all the other beds were very comfy. It perhaps needs a mattress topper.

Very comfortable and welcoming, in the centre of Kelso.

Kelso Cobbles is bright, airy and very comfortable, in a perfect location for exploring Kelso. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped, with everything you would need. The host Jason phoned to check that everything was ok for our arrival and there was a welcome pack and refreshments waiting for us. Parking nearby was easy. Kelso Cobbles is in the centre of the town and close to several very good pubs and restaurants. We ate in the Queens Head, two doors down, which has exceptional "pub grub".

The only thing we would have liked was some shelves or a small cupboard for our toiletries in the main bathroom, but this was a minor inconvenience and we managed!

Property is old but charming and you will not be disappointed.

Central location, size of rooms, layout warm, comfortable, great dining room and sizeable kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Parking very nearby. Stayed in Kelso before and this has been the best.

Stairs up to the house and in the house. Poor quality bottle opener (broke first time we used it)

a wedding to remember

a beautiful spacious apartment. everything was in hand and no worries at all! the views are wonderful over the Abbey. we got married in Kelso and the owner left us a lovely goft and card, so thoughtful.

It was so central and the views were just gorgeous! It was a great size too. And Louise the housekeeper was lovely!

I suppose if I was finding something not to like it would be the amount of stairs - but it was clear that there were stairs - and wasn’t a bother really to us.

We had a lovely weekend for my Dad's birthday, I can highly recommend this property!

Location was perfect, property had everything you would need. There was plenty of space for us all and a kitchen you could easily cook a proper meal in.

This is purely relevant to our party, the stairs. My dad does not have great mobility, and whilst we were expecting stairs, the lack of hand rails made going down the stairs very difficult for my dad. This is the only negative for the property.

The flat had super size rooms and the beds were so comfy. Bedding and towels so white and clean. In centre of Kelso right next to the ancient abbey.

We had the most wonderful stay, and will definitely be returning again in the future.

Lovely property in an excellent location. Kelso has everything you could need and is perfect for exploring the Borders. Plenty of room for all our family to be together. Host was really nice and left a bottle of wine and a card upon arrival. Beds were comfortable and the layout had been very well thought out.

It could do with a deep clean. (Not awful, so please don’t let this comment put anyone off booking!) The skirting boards were dusty and found tissues under the sofa. They could also do with an extra tea towel and more than one bin bag. We were self catering for a family of 9, so as you can imagine the dishwasher can only take so much, and so that one tea towel was extremely well used by the end of the weekend. The kitchen bin is very narrow and didn’t hold very much and didn’t appear to be any recycling facilities, so we did what we could and took to the local recycling bank at Sainsburys. It may be helpful to add some information about recycling in the information booklet? All in all, these are very minor things and we managed perfectly well with everything provided.

A lovely spacious property, with very comfortable beds, freshly decorated and a lot of the facilities in the property were to a very high standard, which was great! It is in a great location.

There were some things I would expect from a property of this standard that were not supplied - a cafetiere for making fresh coffee, sufficient supply of tea towels (only 1 supplied), a mixer tap or shower head in the 2nd bathroom. It would be better to make it clear that the courtyard area cannot be used to sit outside and it would enhance the property to have clean windows.

Lovely Holiday

Great accommodation right in town centre. Owner was great and cleaning staff left a nice bottle of wine and chocolate on arrival. Me and my family loved our time away and would highly recommend kelso cobbles.

Great accommodation close to all amenities

The location was great, near to all amenities, great walks by the riverside too. The accommodation was very spacious, so much room for everyone, lovely and bright too, plenty light gets in through numerous windows. Window shutters add to the traditional features of this beautiful flat. It's very clean, comfortable and has a lovely big fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. Local pubs are great and the people of Kelso are friendly and hospitable.

My father was with us, he's 86 so the stairs were challenging for him as there's no banister at the inside stairs up to the sitting area, kitchen etc. The bed in the master bedroom perhaps needs adjusting as the spars underneath kept moving.

Superb

Fantastic location in a pretty Borders town Lovely rooms. Good base for visiting Borders attractions, especially Floors Castle and Traquair House. Would recommend the Cobbles Restaurant. Welcome bottle of wine, chocolates and fresh flowers were a nice touch.

I think a handrail on the stairs would be good and perhaps some upgrading of the living room furniture.

I hadn’t realised how many stairs were involved and had an 84 year old in our group. Coped fine but initially I was worried about them on arrival. Maybe my fault and I didn’t read it properly but it needs to be highlighted...
