CHATEAU D HUGLEVILLE

Eric and Lara are lovely owners, very welcoming and helpful. Went out of their way to explain everything to us in English. They also invited us to take a tour of their amazing Chateau and the grounds which have fantastic historical interest. The pool area was well kept with great facilities. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could possibly need plus more. Bathrooms were very clean and modern. Traditional furniture around the apartment in keeping with the Chateau experience. Great to see red squirrels and pheasants in the garden and the goat which we named ‘Mow’ was fun to watch from our bedroom window!

Definitely not a complaint but two toilets would have been preferable (we did know this at booking) Nothing we didn’t like. We would definitely return.

Het is een prachtig kasteel. Het appartement zit op de eerste verdieping en is heel ruim en licht. Het is heel comfortabel ingercht, deel modern, deels historisch. Onze dochter had de mooiste kamer, helemaal 19de eeuws. Het is een rustige locatie met veel geschiedenis. Er was zoveel te ontdekken over het kasteel en de familie Hugleville, ook dankzij de rondleiding van Eric. Het zwembad was heerlijk, de bedden heel goed en keuken en badkamer uitstekend. In de omgeving is heel veel te zien, in een half uur zit je in Rouen of aan de kust.

Omdat het appartement op de eerste verdieping zit moet je de trap af voor het terras. Bij het zwembad is wel.een prima buitenkeuken, dat scheelt. Daar kun je ook heel lekker zitten. Je kunt niet met kleine kinderen in dit appartement, de ramen hebben geen valbeveiliging.

Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt in den interessant gestalteten, wunderschönen Räumen mit Blick auf das ebenfalls schöne gepflegte Gelände bei einem sehr sympathischen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber.

Éric was flexible and accommodating of the last-minute changes to our travel plans, which we were super grateful for. We have never met such a kind and generous host before. The castle and surrounding grounds are gorgeous. The pool is very nice and fenced for privacy. The apartment is very nicely decorated with many paintings and other decor. The kitchen is equipped better than our own at home! The location is superb too. Even though you need a car, the peaceful countryside makes it worth it. We usually never revisit the same place twice, but for this château we will happily make an exception. Fingers crossed it remains bookable!
