The property is in an eclectic neighborhood, where at the rear and on one side the adjacent properties are rentals and on the other is a two story senior residential rehabilitation facility. Across the street is The Dead Ends House on S. Spruce, a local Halloween legend… and the neighbors are characters… There was a lot of turn over all around us which was a bit disruptive over the month to be honest. The house for the most part was as listed but over the course of the 5 weeks we noted that it could use a refresh of carpets (pet staining and smell upstairs when it got hot), a deeper cleaning of cobwebs, all new area rugs, and some touch up painting could be nice touches. We added 4 new bowls to the 2 bowls that were there as we eat a lot of cereal and salads and constant washing of dishes was tiresome. The fenced yard was nice but having small dogs presented some challenges as there were gaps in the fencing that needed to be tended to and some overgrown shrubbery and taller weeds near the garage is home to some rabbits. Perhaps it could be professionally cleared out? The shade of the tree was nice but it dropped small leaves and branches daily which was a mild annoyance as is was constantly tracked onto the house. It should be noted that the stairs are narrow and steep so caution should be taken. The washer and dryer are perks as is the garage. The location at Seventh and S. Spruce is good and having bikes made it very accessible to most parts of town easily.

This is a great location, in a beautiful part of town. It is very close to everything, easy walk to the beaches and the Commons. My partner and I stayed here for a month (second visit) and we had some family come visit, as there are beds upstairs too. We Kayaked and biked and enjoyed everyday here. The house is clean and the kitchen is very nicely stocked with what ever you may need. Erik is a great host. I would recomment this rental.

Such a beautiful and cozy home downtown Traverse City! Awesome location to all the restaurants and shops downtown. The house was so clean and had everything needed for my long stay! I would recommend this property to anyone!
