About this house rental
Butterfly Cottage is a truly unique cottage located in the Historic district of Saugatuck. Casual cottage styling mixed with colorful spaces, this cottage makes for a comfortable stay in Saugatuck. This quaint cottage will accommodate 8 or 9 people comfortably.
The main house has two bedrooms; one with a queen sized bed and the other with a full. The bungalow, just steps away in the backyard, serves as the third bedroom and has heat and air conditioning. The bungalow has a queen size bed and also bunk beds. The bungalow has a full bath that was added in 2011. As an added convenience, there are no steps getting into the bungalow.
Located in the heart of the village district, plan on walking to all the in-town locations. The river is just a few hundred feet away with shops, restaurants and parks located within a 3-10 minute walk. If you are familiar with Saugatuck, Butterfly cottage is a stone's throw from the public boat launch, Gleason's market and Ida Reds.
We are happy to be one of the few places to welcome well mannered pets in our cottage. An added plus, the back yard is fully fenced. Please note that if you plan on bringing your pet, you need to include them in your booking. When you are inputting the number of guests, you will want to make sure you add "Yes" to the pet question as well as to include the pet information in the booking. There is an extra cleaning fee of $100 if you let me know in your booking. If there is any evidence of a pet being at the home without you including this in the booking, there will be a charge of $500.
Off street parking for 1 larger vehicle or 2 smaller ones. There is also additional parking on the street right in front of the home when available.

Very cute and cheerful cottage. Friends loved it, but it was their first VRBO. Layout looked different than what it did in the pictures and I couldn’t say that it would sleep more than four to five people unless you had a couple of children. Also not as close to downtown as I thought originally. Still close but hard for me to walk for elderly women with a bad . Only complaint was we were out of hand soap, but somebody dropped some off the next day. The kitchen table only sat four people and we had five. Definitely need a light on the side door. Very scary trying to go out at night without falling.

Everything was PERFECT! The parking was convenient and easy. Everything was a close walk. This little area is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!We llove it, and can't wait for the opportunity to come back.

What an adorable cottage in an amazing location. For the price point I had wished it was better appointed overall. No toiletries were available. There is a coffee maker but we were told filters weren’t available (we got lucky and someone left extras). There was no access to streaming services. We would love to return in the future during the warmer months!

Get a new shower that is pretty diffucult to get into and the one glass panel was loose I ended up using the walk-in shower in the cottage which was wonderful also it would be nice to clean up the driveway from all those apples that are laying around you could turn your ankle if you parked on there at night I am pleased that all the locks are now electronic that was really great and easy even that back cottage door which was a trip you should update the instructions on opening that cottage door cuz you still have the old instructions the only other thing is the sprinkler system coming on in the middle of the night it's kind of noisy but it's always been like that we have stayed here many times and will continue to but these improvements that have been made are good and I'd like to see a couple other ones that I mentioned thank youConvenient location
