Beautiful property, super comfy and very well equipped. Clean and welcoming, and in a fantastic setting! Outside area was great (enclosed garden, hot tub on decking, stunning views) and comfy beds each with en suite.

Boat of Garten is a beautiful place. I stayed @ another lodge in January, with family for my 60th & everyone loved it.(Highland Hideouts, highly recommend company) So we decided to return for another family members 60th birthday. Unfortunately we couldn't all have the same lodge as it was fully booked. The setting for Red Squirrel Lodge was lovely, the lodge layout was excellent, but let down by standard of cleaning & Maintenance etc.? Wear & tear of interior needs some attention.
After the 1st nite the wifi didn't work, so i phoned maintenance company every day for 3 days, multiple times & was promised they/ or owners would get back to me, they never did! So no wifi for the kids/adults & no access to Netflix etc. which would have been handy in the evenings. Then after the guy arrived Wed morn to service the hot tub it didn’t work either!! The appliances need updated eg. Fridge is cracked/ damaged so can’t be hygienically cleaned, the freezers not great either needs defrosting. Oven is faulty, if power switched off @ source needs reset. Also in all the places i have stayed before i’ve never been asked to strip the beds before departure!! I wish i hadn’t, as the duvets, mattresses etc were grubby if i’d known this i probably would have brought my own bedding.
