Riversong Farm

The location along the river is absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful and very relaxing on the farm. We loved seeing the sheep grazing near our chalet in the morning. The WiFi was great, which we were grateful for as there wasn't much signal that high up the river otherwise. We stayed in the Thames Chalet, which was nice and cosy. We took our Yorkie with us, and he loved being there, too. The owner, Piers, is very helpful.

On the farm, there is no signage to the different chalets, so we had no clue where we were going when we arrived. There was no front door key left for us (it is very safe out there), but Piers did give us the key when we asked. The kettle was one that you need to use on the stove top - which wasn't ideal for us - and the stove top was an inductor one that we weren't that familiar with and there didn't seem to be any instructions on how to use it (although we did manage). The toilet seat was broken, which needs to be attended to. All in all, the pros outweighed these cons, though!

This is an exclusive, beautiful, well planned, well maintained, and excellently managed spot. Ticks every box for a special, relaxing, recharge weekend! Definitely a place to visit again and again...

The drive in gravel road at times a little daunting for small sedan rentals, tbh had some rain the previous day that contributed...

Nothing - just perhaps come with a vehicle with adequate height clearance. Wasn’t a big problem but easier with suv and the roads

The farm is beautiful and the location on the river is magical. Piers along with his cat and dogs were very welcoming and friendly. We loved our stay.

There is very little noise insulation in the double story cottage between the two floors.
