Oceanfront home with hot tub, WiFi, ocean view, central AC, & washer/dryer

We love this home! The beautiful view, the beach access, the comfortable living area have caused us to come back each year!

Awesome home; wanted to talk with Owner but it was not granted to me!!! Wanted to rebook the same week next year and it quoted me $1000 MORE!!!!! No way!!! There are too many homes on a market for us to be taken advantage of!!!! Again, home was great and we want to stay at least 2x times next year and maybe 1x time this year but since the rates increased by that much AND we DISLIKE dealing with VACASA immensely; I assume we need to find another Home where we can vacation on a regular basis. Side note in regards to VACASA: You will never text/speak with someone local. As a customer; you are just a number. They use the same standard answers word for word until they have to use 1-2 sentences themselves. Most likely you will talk to someone in India that has no idea what is going on in Avon, NC!!! Those were our days: 1: Cleaning Co was in almost 1 hr linger; so we could not e tee until approx 6pm; which was an issue with my med problems that no one cared about. The home was still Dusty, lamp shades 3/4 off, windows dirty so my husband cleaned first. We contacted VACASA and received a call be t day; by then we already cleaned up. 2nd day: Internet outage 3rd day: Electricity outage in neighborhood but our neighbors had electricity!!! 4th day: Internet outage. Called/texted again only to find out that we had to call the local Internet co ourselves. 1-7th day: asked before and during booking sec times if we can have a late check-out because of my medical problems. 8 am they said No

The home and location were beautiful, the details by the hosts, Hatteras Realty were not impressive... The clean linens and towels for the week are in totes on the front porch ready for you to make yourself, not something I knew ahead of time nor wanted to do myself upon arrival when check-in is late (6pm) and you’re just getting settled. As for toiletries, we eventually found a ziplock bag of hand soap and shampoo in a hallway closet rather than in each bathroom. Toilet paper was whatever the previous visitors didn’t use, so a few half rolls. The hot tub was out of order for a few days though it was in the process of getting fixed, non the less disappointing when we arrived and found notes saying the hot tub was out of order. It was fine because we later found out it had been scheduled to be fixed in a few days… but I found this out from the pool guy when he showed up, not the hosts. Upon packing/leaving on the last day, we were a little surprised when the cleaning crew arrived at 8:30am (10am checkout) asking how long we expected to be. Not really the cleaning crew’s fault but I feel the property hosts should communicate to their contractors when the renters have the house through. I knew checkout was 10am, we were out before 9am, I don’t think I should feel rushed by contractors when I’m still in my rental period. Bad last impression. When it comes down to it, the house was great, we loved it. Beautiful views and location. The lack of detail and communicating expectations from the hosts was what brought this rating down. Had I known ahead of time the hot tub was getting fixed in 3 days, take the totes off the front porch and make your beds, soap is in the closet and bring your own toilet paper, then at least I wouldn’t have been hit with annoying surprises one by one. Not impressive when you pay a premium for a vacation rental nor something I’d experienced at other vacation rentals or other Vacasa experiences. Unfortunately Hatteras Realty, I will not visit one of your properties again.
