About this cottage rental

Bay Tree, a detached stone building, nestles in the rolling hills of County Down, with breathtaking views from every window. Bay Tree Cottage offers high quality accommodation for discerning guests.The owners live in their adjacent cottage, and are happy to share the beautiful garden. There is private and safe parking for two cars.

At Bay Tree you will receive the warmest of welcomes from the owners, and soak up the relaxed atmosphere. You will be greeted with a refreshing coffee or tea and a home baked goody. The decor in all of the rooms is stylish, uncluttered, but with wonderful attention to detail. The cottage is spacious, bright and decorated in a New England style, with a fully fitted kitchen, comfortable sitting room with a wood burning stove. Downstairs also offers a generous bathroom and reception area The bedrooms are havens of peace with comfy super king-sized beds (or twins if requested) and White Company bed linen. Each room offers an en-suite bathroom, with power showers and complementary toiletries. In the morning you can pull back the curtains and see the beautiful gardens and listen to the birdsong, and breathe in the fresh air. If you need help with planning your stay , the owners are happy to share their extensive local knowledge. The cottage is perfect for a group of 2 to 4 family or friends to escape to the country for a chilled break or to use it as a base for exploring the locality. From the moment you arrive until you leave, you will feel at home, and experience genuine hospitality. The stunningly beautiful Georgian village of Hillsborough is only a 5 min drive away, and offers a famous castle and gardens, which is open to the public. You can browse in the small independent shops, or eat in the high quality restaurants. If you want to stretch your legs, you can enjoy the scenery in the forest park. The bustling city of Belfast is just over 12 miles away, and if you fancy a beach walk, Murlough Bay is highly recommended.
